I thought for a moment this business of watching TV on your computer might work however i am thinking it does not. I was going to check out some NHL action so first i dl the evid patch and then i cl ppmate and i rebooted. I fired up PPmate however nothing is what is stated in the directions. There are channels on the left hand side showing up and if you choose one sometimes it buffers forever never reachinig 100 percent. The odd time it has reached 100 percent and says ready to play i have pressed play on the ppmate player and nothing happens.

Also i checked out some of the addresses for the NHL games thinking i would try them out in VLC and again they did not work and i have streamed alot in VLC. I am not trying to be rude but does anything work on this site or is it just at an experimental stage still?

No, most of the Tv players work. It just all depends on the type on internet you have, how fast it is, if you have a firewall.

The one I would stick to is Sopcast. It is the only one that works for me and it works great.

Thanks for the reply lakers. Does sopcast have spyware that you know of? Can you get any sports on it?

Your Welcome! From my experience im not sure it is spyware that is affecting it, it's just you have to have a good internet connection to get a good picture and sound. What kind of internet do you have? (DSL or brodband is fine)

It does have sports. All in english and has some football on Sunday. NBA TV, some basic channels like ABC, FOX, etc and cricket games, espn, espn2. What are channels are you looking for?

Thx for the info. Well i was checking out the NHL action. I have a pretty good internet connection. It is cable but quite fast. About 300kb per second for dl on average. Not sure the upload speed,

I did dl the sopcast. It is much more user friendly to look at. Still have not luck in getting a channel. I have tried a few however even once i get to 100% buffering and the player says it is playing i see nothing. I did press a button that lauunched WMP (why do they alwasy sync with WMP) but still no picture.

Oh well i will poke around for a while and see what happens.

Thx for the replies people. So far i have dl three different players and it is always the same result. Install fine and i can see lots of channels and buffering goes to 100percent but there is never a picture. For PPMate the only way i can get a picture is to hit the record button and then once i stop recording go look for the dl file. It seems that you need to link PPmate to a video player. How do you sync it to VLC?
