and the question for efeng still stands;
"does ppmate have permission to use the pcast and ppstream protocol?
Or is ppmate just a copycat?"

And the answer is, who the **** cares??
:)
All PPmate has done is put all the most popular channels into one simple app (reminds me a bit of the Sambal Baj P2P TV-Pack) , but without having to switch to a new application every time you want to watch a new channel, PPmate is not stealing any server space so i don´t see a problem...
Maybe you could contact Netresult and complain..
;).

well, for just watching a soccer game it doesn't matter at all.
But if p2ptv is really becomming big most of the current programs wil disappear because they copy each others protocols and techniques. MaXTV is doing the same with PeerCast and SopCast.
One of the big problems with p2ptv now is that you have to much different protocols and that's why you have to use to many programs for watching all the channels you want.
P2Ptv can realy make a big step forward using less different protocols or making them exchangeable with each other. And that's actually what i'm hoping to happen with programs like PPMate, but coordinated with PPstream, Pcast and others. For now I see more in the P2P Remote Control which combines all the links to the channels from many different programs.
