Hey,
Welcome to the Man U appreciation Society.

As usual, The Man U PR machine are busy promoting the club.

Is'nt it about time the "Ordinary" Supporters were given a chance to air their views, instead of being railroaded by the American-owned Machine?

Sorry ddog :)

I don't think they will take down the main p2p programs like sopcast etc, it's just i think the premier league will search all over sites like justintv and remove the channels straight away.

So top scorer then ...... ?

My guess is ...

It has to be Torres :( lol :)

Quick thoughts on the season :
------------------------------

First, an admission - I follow Manchester United. I grew up loving the style, the character, and especially the swagger that the team evokes - in times of defeat and moments of triumph....

But in the upcoming season - there are lots of things to worry about....SAF lost Queiroz:- it remains to be seen how much influence has returned to Portugal with him. Utd is after Berbatov. If they get him, is he the certain replacement for an egoistic Ronaldo - whose departure is just a matter of time?

With Louis Saha ( a fine player ) never returning to 100% shape, Utd will have to rely on the strength of her defensive grit - Vidic + Ferdinand + Neville more and more:

The challenge will be our inability / otherwise of converting the chances we create..... I think we won't defend the Premiership, but the Champions league is not a long shot to imagine for keeps....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Arsenal - Its hard to understand Mr. Wenger. or is it the philosophy of sports/biz/ and management at the Emirates?

With Eduardo still missing and a seeming leaner team than last season. It is hard to see how they will not be 'stopped-at-the-gate-of-success' if at all they get near it this time.

I thought Arsenal needed a solid replacement/complement for Senderos - who exposed the back 4, to endless gush of terror last season... I am not sure this has happened so far.

That said, Arsenal plays the brand of football that easily crushes the Hulls, while on a good day threatens the Uniteds. Its hard to see them better last season's performance anyhow. Unless they manage to keep them all injury-free. This for me is like, dancing with a backpack of eggs and expecting a crack-less result....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Its hard enough to project the future. Its hardest if you do it in football.

It takes 90minutes of terrific performance to give a side - a relegation-escaping-momentum. Just as much as it takes an insane + random
coach-sack for a team to lose its steam.

Which brings me to my thoughts on Chelsea: On paper and in-terms of perception. Chelsea has it all this time. They got rid of the annoying if, not overrated Mr. Mourinho.

Still got all the monies + a larger-than-life-Phil Scolari. Already made some big signings and many people I hope will fancy what the Blues bring to the table this time.

Personally, I am willing to see the team, from a fresh perspective:- where a bit of football is played, before the winning is sought: Chelsea's Champions league performance was terrific. Amazing ball movement and even Malouda, at some point showed promises. If it was anything to go by, one can easily hazard that it is a chamionship collection at the bridge this season

The key challenge is - finding the balance between such a hugely loaded dressing room materials and the eleven pawn, that will actually do the job at any given time 90mins.... If everything goes well, it will be extremely hard to stop Chelsea winning the league. But its football, and it seldom ever go well. It will be comforting for me though to enjoy the footy Chelsea plays if..?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool, Ashley Young, West Ham and Tottenham ........to be cont'd

well, I set it up on the old forum, even before I saw the movie - and I cant be bothered to find how to change it since we moved to this *new* forum:)

Not that I will ever change it tho;

Alot of good players have left so you are most likely to be poor this season, perhaps 5th or 6th place. You will fight against liverpool, aston villa or man city while united will stay right the top :) lol

On the first view you would think Arsenal are weaker this year, but then you see they're just short of a new Flamini/Gilberto kinda player. Their defense is pretty good, having 2 very good full backs. In midfield they now could field Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott and Rosicky (if fit), and their attacking line is still a threat. They're just lacking in squad players, so you would wonder if Mr Wenger gets a few players in when the 2nd transfer window opens...last season he must have learnt his lessons. Call me stupid, but I still have Arsenal very much on the cards.

to answer your question ben;
agree on everton v blackburn...was a top match, even for a Liverpool fan ;)

I think the top four will remain the same....There will be ups and downs like last season, but it will way much closer this time among the top four. We might have a thrilling end of season.

1. Man Utd
2.Chelsea
3.Liverpool
4.Arsenal
5.Spurs

Arsenal and Spurs will be closer on points, the kids will scrape it though.
