I would appreciate it greatly if anyone could stream all of the University of Kentucky basketball games this year. My dad is disabled and loves his UK Wildcats... If you cant stream them all this year please stream the UK games that are on ESPNU(usually only a couple a year)....Any other links to other South Eastern Conference (S.E.C) games this year would be appreciated as well. It would be easier if they could be streamed in Windows Media Player because he certainly knows nothing about computers and since I am his only help I am not very computer savvy either. Thanks a ton in advance...

Sopcast Using Windows Vista? Can't click on a link and load it?

Right-click on the link and select "Copy".
Go to the SopCast address bar and paste the link.
OR, hover the mouse on the link, and the SopCast channel URL will appear in the browser status bar at the bottom of the URL.
Type that URL into the SopCast address bar.

Using VLC for SopCast streams:

All SopCast streams can be viewed with VLC, but for some streams it is mandatory.
VLC can also be a "quick fix" option worth trying if a stream buffers but won't load correctly.
Download VLC at VideoLAN - Free Software and Open Source video streaming solution for every OS! (http://www.videolan.org) and install it.
Start the SopCast stream and let it buffer.
VLC, go to Open Network Stream, select "HTTP" option, and type in 127.0.0.1:8902 (If port 8902 doesn't work, try 8912).
You MUST leave SopCast running; closing SopCast closes the stream.
You may need to mute the sound on SopCast so it doesn't bleed with the sound in VLC.
To make VLC a default external player on SopCast 2.0.4, visit this thread. (http://forum2.myp2p.eu/showthread.php?t=11734)

Having issues viewing a TVAnts stream? Use VLC!

Download VLC at VideoLAN.org (http://www.videolan.org/) and install it.
Turn on TVAnts. Right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
In VLC, go to "File" and open a network stream.
In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in the asf link.
Click on "OK" and sit back and watch in VLC. Close the TVAnts picture window, but DO NOT close out of the TVAnts application, for this closes the stream.
(Side note: The asf link will change for each stream. Usually the last number is what changes.)

How to Record with VLC:

Open VLC and go to File and Open Network Stream, type 127.0.0.1:8902 in the http section.
Next, click on Stream/Save and settings next to it (this should open a new window).
Click on Play Locally, File then select a file on your computer to save it.
Finally, select dump raw input and go to OK at the bottom and click OK on the other screen.
It can be a VERY large file so be sure to have plenty of hard drive space!

Still can't get TVAnts to work?

Make sure your Windows Firewall has execption for tvants.exe; Ports 16600 & 16800 are open with both UDP & TCP
Make sure you installed the connections patch, especially for Windows XP users, at: MyP2P.eu Software Overview (http://www.myp2p.eu/software.php?part=software)

Streams OFTEN don't get posted until a few minutes before gametime. So be patient. Read the rules and ALL of the first post in this thread and you should have 98% of the information you need to make Myp2p a positive experience.

Yes I saw that. I'm thinking of starting a Women's Volleyball thread. The games are good and the girls are mostly pretty hot. What do you think? Might take a while to catch on, but if you are a fan of a school it might be of interest.
There's a lot of "soccer" as well. Not sure that has much appeal though.

However.. If I'm going to do this thread I want to keep it as simple as possible. Which means that we will post games that we know will have a stream. Just don't have the link yet. And of course we will post the game links we get.

It will be confusing if members start posting 'broadcasted' games. Like... oh here's a game I know of... Wrong. ..although it's understood, that's not much help.

But actual streams or confirmed links is VERY helpful and much desired. Thank you. You'll make a lot of people all over the world happy. :D

He's what I believe would make all our myp2p lives easier....

If a member would like to post all the broadcasted games that day, in 1 post, organized... that will be ok. By organized I mean in the style of the first post. So that it can be copied and pasted directly. Or we can create a direct link to the post and streamers can use it as a reference.
I'll do my best to get it done every week, but constructive help is always appreciated. :)

If anyone has a comment or suggestion... I'm all ears at this point.

Sopcast Using Windows Vista? Can't click on a link and load it?

Right-click on the link and select "Copy".
Go to the SopCast address bar and paste the link.
OR, hover the mouse on the link, and the SopCast channel URL will appear in the browser status bar at the bottom of the URL.
Type that URL into the SopCast address bar.

Using VLC for SopCast streams:

All SopCast streams can be viewed with VLC, but for some streams it is mandatory.
VLC can also be a "quick fix" option worth trying if a stream buffers but won't load correctly.
Download VLC at VideoLAN - Free Software and Open Source video streaming solution for every OS! (http://www.videolan.org) and install it.
Start the SopCast stream and let it buffer.
VLC, go to Open Network Stream, select "HTTP" option, and type in 127.0.0.1:8902 (If port 8902 doesn't work, try 8912).
You MUST leave SopCast running; closing SopCast closes the stream.
You may need to mute the sound on SopCast so it doesn't bleed with the sound in VLC.

Having issues viewing a TVAnts stream? Use VLC!

Download VLC at VideoLAN.org (http://www.videolan.org/) and install it.
Turn on TVAnts. Right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
In VLC, go to "File" and open a network stream.
In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in the asf link.
Click on "OK" and sit back and watch in VLC. Close the TVAnts picture window, but DO NOT close out of the TVAnts application, for this closes the stream.
(Side note: The asf link will change for each stream. Usually the last number is what changes.)

How to Record with VLC:

Open VLC and go to File and Open Network Stream, type 127.0.0.1:8902 in the http section.
Next, click on Stream/Save and settings next to it (this should open a new window).
Click on Play Locally, File then select a file on your computer to save it.
Finally, select dump raw input and go to OK at the bottom and click OK on the other screen.
It can be a VERY large file so be sure to have plenty of hard drive space!

Still can't get TVAnts to work?

Make sure your Windows Firewall has execption for tvants.exe; Ports 16600 & 16800 are open with both UDP & TCP
Make sure you installed the connections patch, especially for Windows XP users, at: MyP2P.eu Software Overview (http://www.myp2p.eu/software.php?part=software)

However.. If I'm going to do this thread I want to keep it as simple as possible. Which means that we will post games that we know will have a stream. Just don't have the link yet. And of course we will post the game links we get.

It will be confusing if members start posting 'broadcasted' games. Like... oh here's a game I know of... Wrong. ..although it's understood, that's not much help.

But actual streams or confirmed links is VERY helpful and much desired. Thank you. You'll make a lot of people all over the world happy. :D

He's what I believe would make all our myp2p lives easier....

If a member would like to post all the broadcasted games that day, in 1 post, organized... that will be ok. By organized I mean in the style of the first post. So that it can be copied and pasted directly. Or we can create a direct link to the post and streamers can use it as a reference.
I'll do my best to get it done every week, but constructive help is always appreciated. :)

If anyone has a comment or suggestion... I'm all ears at this point.

What I'm asking is that if you know of a stream post it. If you know of a game being shown on TV, but not on our stream list... that's no help the day of the game, not allowed, and is equal to a stream request and infractions will be given.
However... if a member wishes to post ALL the games being shown on TV on a certain day somewhere with ALL the information in the EXACT style of the 1st post... then that's ok and we thank you.

Sopcast Using Windows Vista? Can't click on a link and load it?

Right-click on the link and select "Copy".
Go to the SopCast address bar and paste the link.
OR, hover the mouse on the link, and the SopCast channel URL will appear in the browser status bar at the bottom of the URL.
Type that URL into the SopCast address bar.

Using VLC for SopCast streams:

All SopCast streams can be viewed with VLC, but for some streams it is mandatory.
VLC can also be a "quick fix" option worth trying if a stream buffers but won't load correctly.
Download VLC at VideoLAN - Free Software and Open Source video streaming solution for every OS! (http://www.videolan.org) and install it.
Start the SopCast stream and let it buffer.
VLC, go to Open Network Stream, select "HTTP" option, and type in 127.0.0.1:8902 (If port 8902 doesn't work, try 8912).
You MUST leave SopCast running; closing SopCast closes the stream.
You may need to mute the sound on SopCast so it doesn't bleed with the sound in VLC.

Having issues viewing a TVAnts stream? Use VLC!

Download VLC at VideoLAN.org (http://www.videolan.org/) and install it.
Turn on TVAnts. Right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
In VLC, go to "File" and open a network stream.
In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in the asf link.
Click on "OK" and sit back and watch in VLC. Close the TVAnts picture window, but DO NOT close out of the TVAnts application, for this closes the stream.
(Side note: The asf link will change for each stream. Usually the last number is what changes.)

How to Record with VLC:

Open VLC and go to File and Open Network Stream, type 127.0.0.1:8902 in the http section.
Next, click on Stream/Save and settings next to it (this should open a new window).
Click on Play Locally, File then select a file on your computer to save it.
Finally, select dump raw input and go to OK at the bottom and click OK on the other screen.
It can be a VERY large file so be sure to have plenty of hard drive space!

Still can't get TVAnts to work?

Make sure your Windows Firewall has execption for tvants.exe; Ports 16600 & 16800 are open with both UDP & TCP
Make sure you installed the connections patch, especially for Windows XP users, at: MyP2P.eu Software Overview (http://www.myp2p.eu/software.php?part=software)

from experience... would recommend tvants.
It's reliable, stable and simple ...as long as you choose the best stream rate for your connection. I regularly get 2000+ viewers with no problems.

which ever you choose... please let us know what your channel name and stream rate will be.

also... you'll get better viewership if you post a weekly (or so) schedule in

Ok so I am sort of new to the game... i downloaded TVU... when I click on the link above, it opens the program, but does not go to the chanell.. I.E. ESPN2 for the Florida/Cuse game... what am I doing wrong? Do I need to just search the channels for the ESPN2 feed? Seems like I am doing something wrong...

I'm not trying to bend the forum rules here so this is NOT a request to broadcast any specific game, just a question to know what I can look for in the future. Are there any streamers around the Kansas City area who would ever be able to carry KU games that are only broadcast to a local channel, for the many fans who no longer live in the area? Endless thanks to the cards for locking up the ones on ESPNU so far, but sadly there are too many games (like tonight) that are only on local cable so far as I am aware.

Essentials

Take the time to learn about the Software and how to use it!
Be sure your PC's date and time are correct.
Sometimes you need to close and reopen your browser. ie: Firefox, IE.
For most streams, IE is recommended. (solves most sound problems)
Get the most recent Flash update.
Sometimes the software needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled.

Sopcast Using Windows Vista? Can't click on a link and load it?

Right-click on the link and select "Copy".
Go to the SopCast address bar and paste the link.
OR, hover the mouse on the link, and the SopCast channel URL will appear in the browser status bar at the bottom of the URL.
Type that URL into the SopCast address bar.

Using VLC for SopCast streams:

All SopCast streams can be viewed with VLC, but for some streams it is mandatory.
VLC can also be a "quick fix" option worth trying if a stream buffers but won't load correctly.
Download VLC at VideoLAN - Free Software and Open Source video streaming solution for every OS! (http://www.videolan.org) and install it.
Start the SopCast stream and let it buffer.
VLC, go to Open Network Stream, select "HTTP" option, and type in 127.0.0.1:8902 (If port 8902 doesn't work, try 8912).
You MUST leave SopCast running; closing SopCast closes the stream.
You may need to mute the sound on SopCast so it doesn't bleed with the sound in VLC.

Having issues viewing a TVAnts stream? Use VLC!

Download VLC at VideoLAN.org (http://www.videolan.org/) and install it.
Turn on TVAnts. Right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
In VLC, go to "File" and open a network stream.
In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in the asf link.
Click on "OK" and sit back and watch in VLC. Close the TVAnts picture window, but DO NOT close out of the TVAnts application, for this closes the stream.
(Side note: The asf link will change for each stream. Usually the last number is what changes.)

How to Record with VLC:

Open VLC and go to File and Open Network Stream, type 127.0.0.1:8902 in the http section.
Next, click on Stream/Save and settings next to it (this should open a new window).
Click on Play Locally, File then select a file on your computer to save it.
Finally, select dump raw input and go to OK at the bottom and click OK on the other screen.
It can be a VERY large file so be sure to have plenty of hard drive space!

Still can't get TVAnts to work?

Make sure your Windows Firewall has execption for tvants.exe; Ports 16600 & 16800 are open with both UDP & TCP
Make sure you installed the connections patch, especially for Windows XP users, at: MyP2P.eu Software Overview (http://www.myp2p.eu/software.php?part=software)

From the South Bend Tribune newspaper, the South Dakota at Notre Dame game the 2nd at 7:30 Eastern won't be on TV but can be seen streaming at nd.edu (more accurately at NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH, The Official Athletic Site (http://und.cstv.com/) )

The stream listed in post #1 is a direct Windows Media Player stream, probably from the Kentucky camera rather than the network camera. If the stream works (sometimes they don't) it will be on at 7:00. The game is also being broadcast at 7:00 on ESPN Full Court and ESPN360, so other streams could be available. Check around 7:00 or shortly after to see if any streams show up.

Read the information in Post #1 and follow the links there to other information. Generally, you need to download various types of peer to peer software to be able to view most streams. Some streams, the ones marked WMP, are for Windows Media Player which you probably already have installed if you are using Windows.

As far as I know the stream posted is live. You'll need to open it in a media player. Default is Windows Media Player.

@crazyguy... Welcome... There are several different ways to view streams post here in Myp2p.eu.
For flash based (website) streams, you normally just need to be sure you have the latest flash update.
For WMP Feeds, see comment above...
For Tvants, Sopcast, TVU streams and some others. you need to download the software and possibly some fixes. Read post 1 for info.

After you have the software in place... normally all you need to do is click the link of the game you wish to watch.

Let us know if you still have issues viewing streams afterwards.
