1. Choose Start > Connect To > Show All Connections.

2. Click on Create a new connection on the left hand side.

3. Choose "Connect to the network at my workplace" and click "Next".

4. Choose "Virtual Private Network connection" and click "Next"

5. Enter a name for the VPN connection (e.g. "ItsHidden") and click "Next".

6. If you don't need to dial up to the Internet before you can connect to ItsHiddenVPN,
choose "Do not dial the initial connection".

7. Enter "vpn.itshidden.com" as the VPN server host name and click "Next".

8. Check "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop" if desired, then click "Finish".

9. Enter your ItsHidden user name and password (you've received these after completing your purchase, and you can also find them in your receipt e-mail) and click "Connect". Otherwise choose the connection to use. Click "Next".

Actually, I got it working on the iPhone 3G :D. I set up a VPN with my username and pass provided by It'sHidden website and then entered all of the data in the PPTP section of the iPhone's VPN setup. Make sure you add the 'Encryption Level' to auto or maximimum and send all traffic to 'on'...that was the only way for me to get it to work. Also, if you want a US based IP for sites like Hulu or Pandora Radio, you will also have to enter a working US proxy IP. I got one here:

United States Open Proxy List (http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-country-US.htm)

and entered it in manually to the proxy area below the VPN info.

You can get various software to give you specific programming based on where you are. If program isn't available where you really are, maybe it is in Holland. Hence this would be useful :)

I am a nubie to the anonymous IP effort so maybe this has been addressed already. If so, forgive me and point me int he right direction. Does anyone know how to keep a VPN like ItsHidden connected when you switch to a different user in XP. I have set it up and it works fine but when I switch to a different user account and back to the account that opened the VPN connection it is closed and my torrent software is using the standard connection to my ISP. Is there a way to run it as a service for a single account?

This behavior is a must have. This way you can set up an account just to run your torrent traffic from but have everything else go through your ISP and not be subject to the limitations of ItsHidden like

1) all of your Google results in Norwegian
2) normal browsing not slowed by the trip across the pond
3) remote logins eg: connecting to my NAS from elsewhere, still work OK

Any ideas or solutions.

You could use a virtual machine for your torrents with the vpn and your normal windows setup and connection for every day surfing or what ever.
