it's unfair and deserves a veto vote. why make the original trade in the first place if you gonna trade again the next day..seems fishy and will get my veto for that reason.

Are you guys just against me making trades or something? If you're going to keep vetoing my trades for no reason, at least have the courtesy to tell me why. I've been in the chat since I made the offer, but apparently people only have enough time to come by and veto trades without saying a word.

I can't believe after unanimously accepting a trade, everyone is so openly biased by vetoing the exact same deal a day later. Is one win really enough to turn an obviously fair trade to one that should be vetoed? If this is the way we're playing, then why don't we just set it up to auto veto all trades made by the leaders of each division, since having a winning record obviously causes people to treat you unfairly.

I should've just agreed with you in the first place. The deadline should've been last Wednesday. That wasn't a first round upset, we beat the Bruins in 7 and got embarrassed by the Flyers in the second round. :p

It's not like I'm neglecting the league, and just forgetting to set my roster every other day. I'm on there every day, and I obviously made one mistake, one time. There's a chance I may have even hit submit, but my shitty internet timed out before it finished loading, and didn't go through. Either way, we've done this before for others, and as long as it only happens once, I don't see what the big deal is.

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Matt Cooke has escaped suspension for a hit to the head of Marc Savard that knocked out the Boston Bruins center.

NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell made the announcement Wednesday at the general managers meeting in Boca Raton, Fla. Penguins GM Ray Shero also confirmed the news to ESPN.com via e-mail.

Cooke delivered a blindside hit with his shoulder to Savard in the third period of Sunday's game. Savard was taken away on a stretcher and has been disagnosed with a Grade 2 concussion. He is out indefinitely, and Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli has said Savard could possibly miss the remainder of the season.

Doctors will continue to evaluate him over the next several days before determining how long the star center might be out.

Campbell told reporters he needed to remain consistent in his decision -- he also did not suspend Philadelphia's Mike Richards for a similar hit on Florida's David Booth in October that sidelined Booth for 45 games.

Under the new guidelines recommended by GMs on Wednesday at the conclusion of their meetings, both hits would be subject to a penalty and a possible suspension next season. The recommendation of a rule change still needs to be approved by the NHL/NHLPA competition committee and by the league's board of governors.

Cooke and the Penguins visit Boston on March 18.

so now I've lost last week b/c of roster confusion? this long after? I don't usually say too much about forgetting roster submissions, I'm of the opinion that you live and die by your own mistakes, I know everybody is just looking out for themselves, but it's part of the game. My own hockey team might not even make the playoffs because even though we're undefeated, somebody forgot their student card and we defaulted resulting in a -1. I donno, it just seems that adding those 14 pts changes the results of the week, whereas with habby he won his game by a much larger margin than the 12 pts. We're all jockeying for position coming into these playoffs, but the weeks results were already over.... opinions?

I think if AO had spoken up last week, maybe something should have been done, but I didn't realize adding the points now resulted in the outcome of one of last week's game being changed. @FA´s: i agree with you habs its annoying when people change their players with FA´s all the time, but what when a team has 3 injured players during the PO´s and he can´t replace them?! thats not good....

if not for the transactions reset I did in Dec most teams would be over 50-60 .....just a FYI

in the past few months since I traded my 2 star goalies (which hurt me bad) I think I used half of my transactions on trying to replace them or replacing the ones I picked up who hit the IR (which I think I lead the league in Goalies on IR this season) with free agents goalies, something that won't happen again next season!

Now remember the free agent pool is there for a reason..this is suppose to be a fun, free league not one where its strict and you pay ... it removes all the fun from it...

I also realize this is all for fun, but you have to realize that it takes all the fun out of it when people are abusing things like this. No worries, my reason for adding players is, I didn't draft my team, just like barc had a reason, he drafted terribly. Next year when I have a chance to do my own drafting, I won't need to pick players up.
