Also Mark Messier's Rangers offered Dustin Brown in exchange for Martin Havlat. Rejected that as well, and offered a counter trade, giving him Martin Havlat but in exchange for Mike Green. Either take it or leave it Mack :D

Plus the Toronto Habs were willing to take Nasland but I had to give up Kris Letang so I rejected that offer as well. :D

I think I might agree with you about Spezza, Papa. But we might both be wrong. I'd expect big things from Kovalev this season. Despite his lack of scoring last year, he still showed tremendous skill and hockey smarts, and I think he's going to have a big comeback year with the Sens. If he doesn't lead the Sens in scoring this year, he'll be a close number two. :)

And yes Barcaly, your team does suck. You should just give me Ribeiro for nothing. :D

WAIVER SYSTEM (In-season): The waiver order during the season determines who has the first chance to claim a player on waivers. But for now every player on the free agent pool is a free agent. Now the first owner who drops a player...well that player will go thru the waiver process (1 day)...

this week's schedule, oct. 04-11 shows that my team has players playing 50 times during which. avery's crew has 63 players playing. do the schedules balance out through the year, or do we just eat it that our players aren't playing :confused:

but i found out that for example on the days where most of my players are playing, i have to put somebody on the bench brcause there no more space for them......

I definitely agree with you there. Martin is a fantastic coach, and I'm sure Gainey won't be able to get rid of him as easily as he did Carbonneau.

I just hope with our lack of defense, and crappy starting goalie, that it's enough for Martin to work with. :)

Ellis was pulled very early in the first period Wednesday after allowing three goals on three shots. The Predators went on to lose 6-0 to the host Stars.

Ellis is in a battle with Pekka Rinne for the number one goaltending role, but it seems they are fighting to see who gets more bench time than time between the pipes. Right now there isn't a goalie in Nashville worth starting until either contender finds their game.

he´s on top of ESPN´s list because i saw that in standard leagues there are no minus points when your team lost. and also they count the save percentage and the GAA..

..but in our league there´s a 7 point difference depending if your team wins or lose. so the good goalies like backstrom will not get much points when the team loses every game :(
