Thanks THC. If the rules are that nobody is allowed to add the points, then that's the rule. I didn't know there was a rule like that. I was just making sure that if he did add the points, he should add the minus for Halak as well. But since the rule is that you can't add any of the points that are on your bench, that's even better. :)

I doubt you'll find anyone that wants to part ways with their better goalies, considering this has been kind of a wacky year for most of the better ones. I sent you a pretty sweet offer. Niemi see's most of the starts for SJ, and seems like he's rounding in to form lately. As you can see I'm not asking for much, just a small piece of offense. I figured I could probably get more, but I'll settle with what I asked for. I'd be surprised if you didn't accept this offer. :)

This is different than losing points on your bench though. He posted the message at 7:10, which means the puck was probably only dropped 2-3 minutes before, if at all. It would be one thing if he said something after the game when he saw his goalie had the win, but we've always allowed goalie changes at the start of games.


This is definitely nothing new, and we've done this many times before. Since starting goalies are sometimes last minute decisions, setting your lineup the night before doesn't always help, and we can't always be at our computers when they finally announce the starter. If you post something close enough to the start of the game, then an LM can make the swap.

It's only happened a few times this year, but if you go back and check the thread from last year, we were doing it all the time.


We sure can change it in the morning. As long as you are not posting it at that time or when the game is nearly over. The changes will only be made it is closely to the start time for the game.
Sorry, but I cant stay up all night to wait for the starting goalie confirmation or change the goalie with the LM tools.

Jeeez. If it's not one thing it's always another. Can't we just set rules and abide by them since they were put there for a reason. Of course those points should be deducted, and Boucher should've never been put in there in the first place.

Yeah, something is going to happen there. Reports are that Clemmensen is starting on Monday against the Thrashers as well. Normally Clemm doesnt even get 2 starts in a row. But I am confident with Clemm as a starter.

You should still be able to get a pretty decent stream with that. I had Rogers for about a week, and cancelled when I found out I could get a way better deal with ah 3rd party provider. It's a lot cheaper, but unfortunately I'll be limited to 1Mbps up, so I don't even know if I'll be able to keep up with all of the awesome streams we have these days. They're coming Monday to get me setup, so I'm hoping to be back on the air sometime next week.

The technology is there, but our big evil telecommunications companies refuse to give us access to it. I can't remember which country it was, one of the Scandinavian countries I think, but I recently read that within a few years having a 1Mbps will be considered a necessity, and will be provided to every citizen who doesn't already have it. By that point most of us here will probably still only be on a similar connection, but we'll be paying $200 a month for it.

I think he's making a big mistake by not playing. If he refuses to show up, all he's going to do is end his career on a sour note. If he was smart, he'd play his ass off in New York, and assuming he plays well, he can push for a trade to a Cup contender in the summer. He's only shooting himself in the foot with the way he's acting right now. He's not coming back from a successful stint in the KHL, and the ball isn't in his court.

Personally, I hope Snow benches him until the end of the 2012 season, and the little whiner goes back to Russia for good. We have more than enough Russian divas in the league as it is, we don't need a washed up goalie too.

if you need anything: mack, habs, boothy and me are league managers so we can adjust you´re lineup if you don´t have time to do it by yourself...(but not everyday, just if there´s some sort of emergency...)

rules are: with start time you can´t make any adjustions on the roster with the skaters BUT (and here comes the tricky part), you can have your goalie replaced if the one in your lineup doesn´t start but the one on the bench. you justr need to annoucnce that here or in the league chat withing the first 20 min or first period of the game when your staring goalie starts.(we couldn´t agree on the exact time but we decide from case to case i guess :D ).

but there is an exception if you have a goalie on your bench starting at e.g. 7pm and already finished with e.g. 10points at 10pm, and another goalie who was supposed to start at 10:30 doesn´t start, you can put the goalie in who has already finished...

He was awesome in the SEL last year when he played. No-one dared to tackle him though. Will be interesting to see if it will be the same in NHL.
