sure there are playoffs. just look on the fantasy page under "standings" and then click "projected playoff bracket".

the 3 division winners and the 3 teams with the most points after the leaders (6 teams overall) will reach the playoffs.... (so now you would be in the playoff as #5 team ;) )

Yeah exactly. This is why I never liked the Super Bowl. Any team can have a bad game, and any team can have a good game. It takes a truly good team to win a series.

Are there any other playoff formats we could discuss changing too? Since playoffs start in February anyway, it would be nice if we could at least do best 2 out of 3.

You can move a player to bench if he is injured /not playing. That means as well if a goalie is not starting but the other bench. So you should shortly write after you have seen it into the forum. Habs/Mac will do the late requests...
But it is not ok if you want it nearly before the end and you see alredy that he gets a lot of points.

I'm still waiting for a good offer, and your over eagerness to move Ribeiro makes me think there's something you know that I don't.

Neither Ribeiro or St. Louis have been great lately, but I don't see Ribeiro getting any better. Despite not scoring, St. Louis is tied for 5th overall in the league in assists with 14. You'd have to do a little better than Ribeiro for someone like that.

But I gave the deal 3 stars, so we're getting close. :D

To be honest, I've been looking into Kaberle, and he's not that great of a defenseman. He's a -4 with only 8 hits and 4 PIM in 16 games. The only think he has going for him is blocked shots, and he's not even in the top 50 D-men in that category. 18 assists is fantastic, but if he suddenly goes cold, I won't be getting anything from him in the other categories.

I'm just looking over the last offer now, and it's not looking too good. I'll see if I can counter, but this is why I wanted to do some scouting. ;)

Edit: Well it turns out I had to reject that last trade. I really wanted to make a deal with you, but you're going after all my hottest players right now, and I'd be crazy to let any of them go. Sorry, but you'll just have to take what you can get. :)

There were a few reasons for my loss this week, all of which were out of my hands.

I have five Penguins on my team that did nothing for me this week. Absolutely nothing. I figure that was about 40-50 points I missed out on. I also got a visit from the injury bug this week, and saw several of my players go down within a matter of a couple days.

But the biggest factor was Team Rottner not giving me anything. Whenever I got a goal, he got a goal and an assist. I get a hit, he gets two blocks. I just couldn't gain an inch. So congrats on a very successful week. :)

I'm not at all concerned though. My team is still 4 lines deep, and should produce a little more for me next week. I think I had the cruise control on, so this was a little bit of a wake up. :D

I wouldn't have said that, because at no point did I think either trade was one sided. Nobody expected Malone to do as well as he has, and Letang hasn't been spectacular either, nor was he expected to. Before the start of the season, most hockey analysts were calling Hedman the rookie of the year, and said he'd be one of the best D-men in the league. You need to be patient. I could've dropped Langenbrunner when he was sucking for the first month, but I held onto him and look at him now. We're only a month and a half into the season, and you haven't even given him a chance to settle in yet.

The same goes for Kozlov. A slow start does not mean he's a bad player. When he starts averaging 3 points a game, I think you'll be very sorry you dropped him. I was holding out on him myself, but he wasn't the right fit for me at that time. And if you know what's good for you, you'll hold onto Price this time. Goalies are where the big points are, and that's why he was a big part of that trade.

I thought with all the time we spent going back and forth, these were the fairest deals we could come up with. And I figured I was doing you a big enough favour by giving you back O'Reilly for Kaberle. Like I said, if Kaberle stops getting assists, then he's a useless D-man.

I can't give you your players back, but I hope you understand that there was no ripping off going on here. ;)

I think he just evened it out so we don't face some teams once, and others three or four times. This way nobody can make excuses as to why they were good or bad, because everyone will have played an even number of games against each other. :)

It only takes a second to go online and check the pending trades, and I'm sure the people who are waiting for it to go through would appreciate not having to wait.

It's not happening that frequently, but I've also noticed people not setting their lines from time to time. Of course people forget, but if it's happening all the time that's just more evidence that people aren't into this.

So I propose this. If you go 3 days without changing your lines, you're out. Or maybe even 3 times total in one month. Either way, we've got a lot of people that are interested in taking part, and I'd rather we have people who are interested, than people who are just staying in for the hell of it. What do you guys think? :)

yea I don't see how its so hard to at least take one day to set your lineup in advance..I usually do it every Sunday night....for the whole week in advance..just in case I cant get online for the week....

Slava Kozlov has a goal and 2 powerplay assists in his last 3 games. That's probably why someone was smart enough to pick him up off of free agency. :)

Now had you been patient and given a player more than one game to prove themselves, you'd still have him right now. ;)

Okay I had an idea. Since half our GMs are only active a few days a week, it seems next to impossible that we'll ever get the 9 votes needed within 24 hours.

So how about we say after there are 6 votes allowing the trade, we push it through? The 24 hours is only to allow everyone to have a chance to vote, but we'd need to make it 72 hours if we wanted everyone's vote. There's no reason we can't push a trade through if we have the votes.

Does that sound good to everyone then? 6 votes and a LM will put the trade through?
