NHL overtime was eliminated during WWII, because there were restrictions on train travel, so they couldn't risk going long and missing the one and only train that night. It was only reinstated in 1983-84.

I knew it's gonna be good season for the Sens.They lost 1 great,but got 3 very good players(kovalev,michalek,cheechoo).
To be honest,it's the only correct prediction I made this NHL season,lol :p

Cheechoo has been terrible, I didn't expect him to score like he did when we was paired with Marleau, but he's not even making an impact in games.

Still lots of the season left but at least we have some reason for hope.

Dear Brian Burke,

Pls let the Leafs win games against everyone who is in their near. If so they wont take over the last place from the Canes :)

You should trade some guys to improve your team like Toskala and more (but I dont know more LOL).

Let them be better next season! Improve your team in the offseason as long as Sextons team is better :p
Quit this season and let them play for fun as they playoff chances are bad this season :(
BTW. The Habs have a goalie to offer. :D Halak or Price. Talk to Gainey and you will be fine :D :p

Sorry about the season so far, but I'm afraid there's something I have to confess to you. I'm not who you think I am. I mean, I am Brian Burke, but not the Brian Burke you know. I'm actually......a Habs fan!! :D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

What are you going to do now Leafs??? I'm under contract for another 5 years, and as long as this team keeps making money, MLSE won't get rid of me. I can't believe you guys thought I was serious when I said I wanted the job. I honestly didn't think you'd offer it to me, but you did!! :D

So let's get ready to have some fun! Not only will we finish last in each of the next 5 seasons, but any 1st overall picks we get will be traded away for players that won't help the team in any way.

Pens have been pretty good against Sens this year. I think this is where Sens winning streak comes to an end. Go Pens!

They thumped Ottawa 8-2 in late December, knocking Alfie out with a shoulder injury. Expecting a better performance and hopefully a different outcome in what is likely Ottawa's last visit to the Igloo.

Hard not to be impressed with the turnaround we've seen. Far too early to read much in to it, but the season is looking far better than it was a month ago.

4-1 final.. 8 game winning streak, should make it 9 on Hokcey Day in Canada against the habs.

har har har thats why we sharks fans weren't all too sad to see the cheechmeister go ;) jokes on you ottawa! :p
we were however sad to see our good friend milan michalek go, but that hasnt stopped me from hoping he has an awful season up there :D
funny how quickly you can go from truly appreciating a player on your team, to strongly disliking them once they put on that new uniform. go figure

Didn't have much choice after Heatly got his panties in a knot and demanded a trade. The extra cap space Murray can use to sign players like Volchenkov is more valuable than the players we got in return.
