The Arena Football League player requires a high speed (DSL / Cable Modem) Internet connection and a computer running the Windows operating system with Windows Media 9 or above.

NOTE: As the Arena Football League player must access the Internet in order to transmit and receive audio and video data, please grant the application such access if you receive a notice from your firewall program. Failure to grant your player access to the Internet can result in the program being unable to tune to a channel and display video.

Be sure your PC's date and time are correct.
Sometimes you need to close and reopen your browser. ie: Firefox, IE.

For most streams IE, or FF with IE tab add-on, is recommended. (solves most problems)
Sometimes the software needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled.

Download TvAnts (http://www.myp2p.eu/softwareitem.php?softwareid=4&part=software) ...Windows Firewall should have exception for tvants.exe; open Ports 16800 & 16900 in both UDP & TCP
For StreamTorrent it's streamtorrent.exe; ports 15800 & 15900.

If you have a continuing issue, try clearing your cache and cookies. CCleaner works well for this.

Having issues viewing a StreamTorrent, TvAnts, or SopCast stream? Use VLC!

Download VLC at OldVersion(dot)com (http://www.oldversion.com/download_VLC_Media_Player_0.8.6i.html) ...or... New Version 1.05 - VideoLan.org (http://www.videolan.org/) and install it.
Turn on TvAnts. Right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
Turn on StreamTorrent. Click and Lock the channel you wish to watch. Then... right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
SopCast users go here > Use VLC with SopCast. (http://www.myp2pforum.eu/sopcast/11734-sopcast-vlc.html)
In VLC, go to "File" and open a network stream.
In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in the asf link.
Click on "OK" and sit back and watch in VLC. Close the StreamTorrent or TvAnts picture window, but DO NOT close out of the application, for this closes the stream. (Side note: The asf link will change for each stream. Usually the last number is what changes.)

I looked through the AFL Player EULA, couldn't find anything tbh.
But could be tricked though, since English is not my mother tongue,

How to use VLC to watch a Stream


You cannot use VLC to watch a stream unless it is already playing in StreamTorrent or TvAnts



Download VLC at OldVersion(dot)com (http://www.oldversion.com/download_VLC_Media_Player_0.8.6i.html) ...or... New Version 1.05 - VideoLan.org (http://www.videolan.org/) and install it.
Turn on TvAnts. Right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
Turn on StreamTorrent. Click and Lock the channel you wish to watch. Then... right click on the streaming picture window, go to "Properties" and copy the .asf link you find.
SopCast users go here > Use VLC with SopCast. (http://www.myp2pforum.eu/sopcast/11734-sopcast-vlc.html)
In VLC, go to "File" and open a network stream.
In the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS box, paste in the asf link.
Click on "OK" and sit back and watch in VLC. Close the StreamTorrent or TvAnts picture window, but DO NOT close out of the application, for this closes the stream. (Side note: The asf link will change for each stream. Usually the last number is what changes.)
