I've been in the NCAA and NFL downloads section. Been using it a while, and one poster who had been using fileserve and filefactory to post games stopped using fileserve. This created a problem for me: I'm in China and they've blocked access to filefactory. So the poster had the phrase "fileserve links available upon request" on all his posts. I tried to post asking for those, and my posts were deleted. I finally realized we weren't supposed to put requests for links from a different server there.
So I went to the page for making requests. There I saw about 20 requests, most of which have been viewed upwards of 100 times. But not one has ever been replied to. Clearly no one who posts has been checking that thread.
So then I thought I'd try and send a private message to this poster, because he'd seen my post request, but not for long enough to understand what was going on. I'm just trying to find out which file service he's planning to use permanently, and try to figure out some way to solve my problem. I can't without being able to communicate with the person who posts the games. When I tried that, however, I found that I didn't have sufficient priviledges to send him a message. I tried to figure out what that meant, but there was no explanation.
So my question is, when a poster says that links are available "upon request," how can we get that request to him?
