I've just bought a Western Digital TV Live box and have been playing around with it to see if I can watch streamed football on my TV via the WD Live TV.
So far some success using tversity - the following instructions are taken from tversity forum at http://forums.tversity.com/viewtopic.php?t=7711.
However, I'm not that technical and would prefer to avoid having to start VLC via the command prompt. Any thoughts/suggestion from those of you who are more technically gifted??
That simple follow the steps:
1 - Install Sopcast
2 - Install VideoLAN - VLC media player http://www.videolan.org
3 - Open SopCast and select the chanel. Wait sopcast show the channel
4 - Open VLC with this command line:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.asf --sout "#std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=:1234}"
5 - Go to TVersity and add that Video URL mms://127.0.0.1:1234
Now you can play sopcast channels in you XBOX360, Iphone, PS3, WD TV Live etc...
