Welcome to MyP2P Fantasy Baseball League, a fantasy baseball league exclusively for members of the MyP2P. You must be active to stay in this league so keep up your rosters and weigh in on the message boards / chatbox as much as you can...One of the main reasons for having a league like this is to have a great place to talk baseball year round.

ESPN/MLB - Fantasy League 2011 (2nd Season) (http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leagueoffice?leagueId=9362)

Here are a few things you need to know:

- Each team will keep 6 players from year to year.
- Draft will be a week before the start of the season.
- Everybody's team name should be named in some way.
- Please update your "Trading Block"
- Trash talk is encouraged, BUT PLEASE be respectful and keep things CLEAN!
- All trades will go threw a 24 hr approval period to allow people to veto(6) or approve(8) trades. We would appreciate if anyone who vetos to please post their reasons on the baseball thread. Keep the voting system fair, if you veto please take a few mins to log on the thread to post your reason.
- Any injured player who you didn't have time to remove or add at game time..let one of the LM's know to replace him on your roster.
- All managers are require to log on their team at least once every two weeks to keep the activity of the league active. If I or other LM's notice you have not paid mind to your team (dating back 15 days) you will be warned, if done a second time you will be removed and replaced.
- Any questions...please aim me ( MaCkT1C ) or msg me on the Fantasy League thread on MyP2P. You can also msg LM's Boothinator, Habs on the thread if you have any questions or issues related to the league.
- Acquisitions are 6 per week max (once season starts) and 6 for the entire playoffs

I figured I would keep a C, 2B, and SS. Those are the weakest positions in fantasy baseball. And Napoli has 1B eligibility as well!

Edit: Scratch the whole Napoli idea. He's going to be a third string catcher and part time 1B man.

Hey everyone,
sorry i havnt been to active on the forums, i have very little time as it is :(

I wanted to make a suggestion about the draft order. In the current order it looks to be last years reverse standings.

The problem is that though I may have come in second place, my team was not nearly as impressive as others due to me missing the draft last year.

I think it would be better to draft by total points last season. The only real reason i cam in second was because i had a pretty lucky postseason.

What do yall think?

Yes. The first six rounds of the draft are reserved for keepers, so if you keep only 4, you would get a pick in round 5 and 6. Everyone who kept 6 would not start drafting until round 7

I forgot to mention, there are some very strict rules you must abide by if you want to work for me.

1. You can make as many offers as you want, but not official ones. All official trade offers must be discussed with me before being sent.

2. At least 3 out of the 7 days of the week you must annoy the hell out of the GM we're playing that week to try to throw him off his game.

3. Clubhouse fridge + Beer = ALWAYS!

4. Players over 21 are talented too. Do not overlook them when scouting.

5. I'll try to set the lineup every day, but keep an eye on it in case I forget or I'm drunk/stoned/dead.

6. If the lineup is full for the day, and we still have players on the bench, do not sub players out except in the case of injuries. Also, if you see a benched pitcher, but we have space for him that day, make sure he won't put us over our maximum starts for the week. We might lose a start by a much better pitcher.

That's pretty much it. Rules are subject to change as needed, or based on my mood or level of sobriety.

it automatic by espn..I have no power over it...just makes it fair that the draft goes by the order of the final rankings last yr....as for people wanting to select 4 instead of 6...that is their decision...but their 2 remaining roster spots are open for them to select after draft thru free agent pool...if it was that easy everyone would just choose not to keep etc...lol

I doubt they'll realize that everything isn't always black and white, but I contacted ESPN in hopes that they might do the right thing and not screw me out of 10 games.

Also, about the whole Youkilis thing, last year I e-mailed ESPN about Cuddyer not having 3B eligibility even though he was playing there regularly. They changed it pretty quick and i was satisfied :cool:

The problem is that Youkilis hasn't played a game at 3B yet, despite being named the team's third baseman. This stupid policy doesn't take into account players changing positions in the offseason. If I had more batters it would definitely be an issue, but fortunately I can shift my lineup around for the first 10 games and make it work.

This Jake McGee kid will most likely pull an Axford and become the Rays full time closer. That makes for four decent guys that will get saves. All in all I'm good, no need for trades at the moment. :)

If however you do find a replacement owner lemme know, if someone is committed and interested in baseball I don't see why they shouldn't have the chance to be in this league.

I said you should still look for a owner more interested in baseball than I am because I am not going to come home after a long boring lecture and do something I am not interested in. I only took the team because no one was going to own it and MaCk would probably have to set up the lineups every day anyway.

Nor do I. I already had to edit a post because someone thought it a brilliant idea to post the teams and the owners names. If you make the league public, it shows the team names and who owns them. Which is then a point of contact.
