The yankees are back again for 2011. Mike Kay, John Sterling, Kenny Singleton, Mo, Jeter, Posada, Tex, A-Rod and much more.
Discuss any Yankee-related concept right here

Man, the Sox are already failing to live up to expectations. With Tex, ARod, and Martin beasting it up we'll be way better than last year offensively. Phil Hughes' declining velocity is a big concern for me. I'm afraid he'll seriously regress.

The offense is on fire, but I agree Hughes' declining velocity is a huge concern. Hopefully it's a temporary anomaly. Especially right now when we need him to at least repeat his 18 win season from last year in the least, and exceed it ideally.

It's a joke, since everyone was calling the Yankees underdogs going into Spring training, and claiming the Red Sox had the AL East in the bag. Boston's doing what they normally do, failing expectations, while the Yanks so far are doing what they do best, exceeding them.
Let's just hope the following things hold true and the Yanks will be fine come October.
1. C.C. suffers no injuries requiring a trip to the DL, if he ends up on the DL at all we're probably screwed.
2. Burnett continues improving, and Girardi doesn't hesitate going to the pen if his wheels start coming off in the 5th etc.
3. Soriano and Rivera stay healthy, which will continue to make any close game a 7 inning affair.
4. Jeter doesn't go into another mega-slump with hitting into non-stop inning ending double-plays.
5. Blockbuster trade at the deadline for another starter.
6. A-Rod doesn't get cold come August/September.

Only reason people were saying things about the yanks is because they failed to do what they normally do and that's pulling out their wallet and throwing cash at any person they could possibly want to throw on pinstripes.
I dont think Red Sox arnt living up to expectation. if you are going to make calls after 3 games something is wrong...
many players are doing very well it just hasnt fallen together yet.
they were playing the defending AL champs not the Detroit lol's and Texas played very well.
the pitchers for Boston had great pitches just shoddy location which is common early in a season.
Lester had some more speed/
Lacky had more speed and his breaking balls had more movement.
Bucholz playing with a new pitch that seemed effective.
as for hitters.
Jacoby has a great on base % and is swinging the bat well and showing more patience.
Gonzo is doing great at the plate and at D he will kill the ball over left in Fenway.
Crawford is having a rather slow start but if you look at his stats over the past years he dosnt usually put up good numbers in opening week. Hes a great player he will come around.
I believe the yanks will do better then people think they will as I also believe the O's will to.
But I think the Sox are going to have a great year. Also it always seems the sox dont do great until they open at fenway.
I just hope my Mariners can return to the team they were in the 90's and early 2000's
I want to see them do well.
I see the it as being either the Yanks, Sox or Tex in the series against either LA, SF or the Rockies
I have a feeling it will be the Sox and Rockies in the series though.
Still would love to see the M's surprise everyone as real underdogs.

While I'm not jumping for joy, I'm glad the Cards are slipping. Hopefully they'll be out of the race by July so we can nab Chris Carpenter!

for those who say Colon is useless, well you're wrong. ONE run in EIGHT innings. He is so WINNING

He was better than Hughes all year! Have to keep him in the rotation! Hughes isnt good as starter this seaosn! We cant use his short starts!
But wtf is going on with Soriano?? Seriously when did he have a good game this season?
