Justin.tv Workaround for Destination Country Quotas

If you're trying to watch a Justin.tv link you may need to use a proxy.
We don't know what will happen this year with J.tv, but we will do our best to provide any working links possible.


Essentials

Take the time to learn about the Software and how to use it!
Be sure your PC's date and time are correct.
Sometimes you need to close and reopen your browser. ie: Firefox, IE.
For most streams Internet Explorer, or FireFox is recommended. (solves most problems)

For ST streams: try opening ST, then delete the channel/all channels from your ST channel list- then close ST in the tasktray- then re-click the link.

The official tracker for TVAnts changes occassionally. Please go to the server tab in TVAnts, click add, and type in list.ccants.com as the address for the new tracker.

Missed the Blue-Gold game today because I went to a local game of the Berlin Adler (Eagles) with a former Texas State QB and a Citadel RB

Shout-out to all my buddies here - see you in a few (yet way too many) months
ND should be a Top 25 team this year and the future seems to look bright with the recruits they got
(though I don`t like the fact that either Dayne Crist or Tommy Rees - in almost Clausen-like fashion - said while the BCS bowls are nice and all, they`re really looking for the championship game...
Arrogance like that usually leads to underperformances - if ND reaches a BCS bowl this year, that would be a major achievement and more than I expect, so STFU about the title game...)

Just read up on the Blue-White game today in State College. Some issues linger for the Lions, and that would be injuries on the DL, QB, and the OL. No starter will be named at QB till September. I do not see the Lions as a Top 25 team this year, we have a very very difficult schedule this year in the new "BIG 12" Aside from this, I like the depth at WR, LB, RB, and in the Secondary.

As for WVU, the Mountaineers will be in an awkward situation with the Tard at the helm, and in purgatory (THANK GOD). Cant wait to see what Holgaritaville is like "where its always 1 and 10". If we can return to our up tempo ways and Jeff Castell keeps remaining the best most underrated Deffensive Coordinator in AMerica then WVU will be solid. I also expect WVU and Pitt games to be intense now that Todd Graham is at Pitt.

Finally FSU....Ponder is gone..but we have a more than adequate replacement....I see Jimbo and Stoops systems finally settling in and we should be Top 25 this year, no doubt.

ESPN3 was doing this to me for a little as well. Not sure what the deal was. Moreover, I have been getting lag on ESPN this whole time. It seems like whenever this happens the lag is always the 5 seconds when the play actually happens, and then it is fine for the 20 seconds of inter-play commentary. Annoying as hell.

(i'm assuming you're watching on a 16:9 monitor when you get the vertical black blocks. if so, then you're seeing what FT is seeing, just on a different kind of monitor:))

unless, that is, the actual picture has a "squished" look, like a 16:9 image squeezed into a 4:3 window. (that could complicate the diagnosis;))

If you play it through VLC, then you can use video>aspect ratio to set it to 16:9 and then video>crop>4:3, and that should then fill your 16:9 monitor correctly.

EDIT: yeah, just loaded it up and saw the letterboxing... you were spot on, mac.

in this case, it sucks for FT in terms of wasting cpu cycles to encode (& bandwidth to broadcast) the horizontal black bars. i can sympathize: when you have basic cable, or anything less than "hd-everything," the broadcasters can really screw you on aspect ratios!:) it's hard to tell what they're gonna do ahead of time. for me, the only networks that consistently letterbox content are fox & pbs. the other broadcast networks do full screen 4:3. and universal sports broadcasts from my local affiliate in 4:3, and about half of the events are letterboxed.:rolleyes: at least if you know what's coming, you can maximize your encoding potential/efficiency.
