only if you have an ip in switserland you get an invite.
We've been able to test it and it works fine.
I emailed them a couple of weeks ago, cause i tried to get it but i had been on the wait list for a long time, and the answer i got was that nobody outside Switzerland can get the program, cause they dont have the license to show these channels in any other country :(
as Sambalbaj says about switz ip, someone maybe can try to register to their waiting list with a Switz ip and just see if they give you an invite or something, it looks like a very good progrmam, and it think meny here would like to try it out.

I tried to register with swiss IP yestarday. Still wating for invite...
I got the player downloaded from other place and istalled. All i need is the info to login - email and passoword. Anybody can help? Do I need a swiss IP to run the player or once instaled i can watch the channels if I login?

Well, I did use a swiss proxy and I registered with it, plus I put Switzerland as my country but I am still waiting for the account to be sent on my email.
My question is , when I finnaly get it do I have to use swiss proxy for starting the player just like afreeca?

It seems like they start in every country, or are willing to start. I got an e-mail for the Netherlands too :) Hopefyll they can startup some international Zattoo for all countries, this would attract thousands of people...

Judging from what kind of channels they offer I don't expect much of zattoo. If they start local zattoo's in every country they have to face with their laws. This means we cannot expect paid movie, music and sport channels. I mean zatoo seems to be too legal:))
So far only the korean, chinese and japanese p2ptv's shows a lot of worhty channels but who knows may be zattoo will suprise us.
ps someone have a working pass and id for zattoo?
i sent then a email asking when zattoo is going to come to Brazil, and they said second half of next year :)

you need to register with them first and then maybe they will send you an invite(till then none of us had an invite)
We can only get invites from the Zattoo creators,
Strangely I got one a couple of weeks ago, but when i were just about to register and download it, it told me that it wouldn't work outside Switzerland, so this is still very strange to me, I could,t get it even with an invite. :/ :/

EriC , you can try to proxify zattoo with swiss proxy. But my opinion is : Gorget about Zatoo. If you want to watch RTL and ZDF type of channels then you might like it. As I said it's the sam like the venice project - nothing but cheap programs and channels. Only China cp2ptv's can provide exclusive broadcasting.

i succeded to download and to register - but after starting the tool they see, that you are outside of switzerland, but swiss proxies are hard to find for me - i have tried a view - but i think you need shtml support - KARDINAL, could you give me an advis, where to find workink proxies? thanx

Well ive managed to reg and dl Zattoo easy enough, but who would have thought looking for a proxy for Switzerland would be so hard!!
Any ideas were i should be looking??

03 , how did you register if you are not fr0m the countries that Zattoo support? Do you have an account? I have the latest edition of zattoo but I canot help you because I don't have an account. If you provided me with one I will try to figure out a way to watch!
When will Zattoo be available in Belgium ? I sent an e-mail but there was only a standard reply that they plan to make Zattoo possible in many European countries. There was no specific response.

Finding a swiss ssl is a pain in the ass. I have found none so for. There are buch of http proxies but they don't support https. Even if you find it will be dead pretty soon.
So,..
i have a account on zattoo ...cause i hade a swiss ssl proxy (down now)
and its every eays to get zattoo on your pc but without swiss ssl proxy you have no chance to
see zattoo channels

nowhere:)) I have searched a lot. Found few http proxies but they don't support SSL connection.
its very difficult to get a good swiss working proxy.
ffs they have already add the new channels and still only Swisszerland :/

hey i just go an invite from them too. but when i try to log in it says invalid password and username. i sent them an email saying that i dont have a username and password.
hi everyone zattoo replied me and saying that there was a configuration error on the log in page. now they have solved the problem, everyone who got an invite from zattoo(test for UK users) can now log in and download the program :) other people living in the UK can register with them and there is a really great possible chance that they will send you an invite. :)
I have tested zattoo and i can tell you all that it buffers really fast and the image quality is just superb! as if im watching tv on my pc. the channels that they have for UK users are :

BBC TWO
BBC THREE
BBC FOUR
BBC NEWS 24
CBBC
CBEEBIES
ALL OF THE THESE CHANNELS ARE LIVE, NO 2 MINUTES OR SECONDS DELAYED!! I CHECKED IT ON MY HOME TV AND IT WAS THE SAME ON THE PC!! :D :D :D
Thats why zattoo was in Euro news :). This software is simply the best, it can be one of the best in the future who knows.They told that they will add other UK channels also. :) :) They said on there site they will try to make it worldwide, no use of proxys or anything.

Star Proxifier 2 and put the Proxy in:
Now copy torrc from the Folder Torconfig in

There put it in and overwrite the old one.

Start Proxifier
wait (30 seconds)
Start in Firefox www.Zattoo.com then under Download go to Sign Up.

Hey they havent added decent channels though like sky sports etc but they probs will not anyway because they need a license to broadcast. Oh and admin you will be able to add bbc 1 on your scheldue but you will have to say download zatto then put proxy in or something like you do with afreeca. I got it now to off invitATION.

After seeing this thread I decided to apply to be a beta-tester for Zattoo in the UK. It was less than 2 weeks ago that I applied and I got my invitation from them today. I've downloaded the app and I'm impressed, very fast buffering and the picture is good too. They need to add some more channels, apart from that the app is great.
Anyone who want's Zattoo and hasn't yet applied for beta-testing should go ahead. It's very simple all you have to do is go to the site and give them your email address and that's it. I wasn't expecting them to get back to me but they did!

yes, i have but with a UK proxy since a swiss proxy it ****ing hard to find one that work and i didnt look much for a danish proxy.....

You can't get invites, just try to register using Swiss proxies and select swiss as country also, that should work if Im right ...

Anyone has been able to create an account from outside UK, Denmark or Switzerland? How? Can explain the procedure to make it properly, and the proxy to get it. I don't know about using specific programs like Proxifier, how to adjust the proxy settings (SOCKS 4, SOCKS 5 or HTTP). User sasa gave a description of the steps to be followed, but I think, i don't configure the proxy well. If someone can give me some advice...
Do you know if it is necessary to register with an e-mail address from one of these countries, I mean: .uk, .dk, .ch, in order to use Zattoo?

So how long do you think it will take for me to get an invite i just signed up using a yahoo email account and when i was on the sign up page it told me that i was in a country which they dont serve in yet is this country even though i live in the uk is this usual ?

that is the same as i got at first but i got an e-mail after a couple of weeks(they weren't serving the UK at that time), you might not have to wait as long because they do now serve the UK ;)

that's right.even if you get an username and pass,you can't run it if you're not in zatto's available area.you can create an account yourself.it looks like:
username: .........@gmx.ch
password: ..............
use proxifier and the tor trick for that.
PS:you can't write any username you want,you won't be asked for a confirmation email.i don't know my account anymore :) because i wrote some bullshit only to log in

its only the UK channels in on there,they dont have the right to broadcast channels outside UK. maybe they going to put ITV,channel 4 and so on in the near future.

i managed to sign up with a proxy and also upgraded with the latest beta 3.0.4...
and i'm sure there wasn't any fields for country selection...just the as an email i used @yahoo.com account....
now when i try to log on it comes up with the "logging from a location zatoo doesn't service"
i tried german, uk, spain proxies...
does anybody knows a solution or managed to work it out by just changing the proxy?
do i need to change the DNS address as well??

when you disable the proxy or vpn you get with your swiss mail again Channels from your Country like Germany Channels not the Channels which is in Switerland avaible.
after disabling Proxy doesnt works more, and Zattoo doesnt works with TOR for me

you would have to use a UK Proxy while signing up, and while watching Zattoo. Also an english type email would be good like hotmail.co.uk.

Try it, but Jodelo could be right and most likely is. There geographical software might be advanced, and proxies, socks will not have any effect on what channels you will receive.

Try the technique i posted above, only yo uwill need a German proxy instead. If it doesnt work you will need to wait for a German streamer to stream it.
With the tricks provided in this topic all channels work fine. I've seen all the channels from Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., Norway and Denmark now. I might want to trade my very stable German socks with someone that has a very stable Flemish one.

I dont think Zattoo is available in the at the momment
I am running Vista.
I downloaded and installed Zattoo-3.2.1betaVista and made sure .NET Framework was enabled.
But now i try to run Zattoo but it says:
Unhandled font 'Ariel' ,unhandled exception.
It does say more and Zattoo wont even start.
Can anyone help?

I've just found a UK proxy working, an anonymous proxy. I checked with IE, but with Zattoo, it doesn't work. I've still have my Zattoo in french except the main screen in english (due to the UK proxy) but the channels are always the same from France.;)
OK I have installed the Zattoo client (without any proxy use or anything), and signed up for a username/password. When I start Zattoo I only have my local stations....and I would like to have more stations from eg. UK (BBC One etc). If I enter a UK proxy server in IE connection settings I can get to the english Zattoo page and when I start Zattoo I get the UK splash but still only t he local channel list. So the question is:
How can I get more channels than the local ones - can someone tell me in easy steps?

Zattoo is an good piece of software but the only problem is the streams, at times they are very poor...BBC 1 and ITV are the only good quality ones I get!
Well I don't say it to you, only for foreign people who wish to access and get uk channels. The only way they uses uk proxy through IE proxy server. Hope it is helps them to make breakthrough on zattoo. :)

click the button on the bottom right.
then allow the program to load :p
after thats done click on Verbinden Button on the top right if it finished loading you have a German IP and should be able to login with your own Zattoo Account to watch german Zatoo :D

Sure you can.Use Shooter's method with Steganos,and then connect and disconnect the VPN until it gives you an english IP.You can see your new IP here:

Uggla -its like a pc version of freeview . You get all the bbc channels- 1 2 3 4 and news. You also get bbc 1 regional channels- Northern Ireland, Wales , Scotland and the same with bbc 2. Furthermore you get the itv regions like ulster and Scottish tv as well as
channel 4 and five, some other news channels -abc, russia today, bloomberg. Oh and dont forget cbeebies:D Well worth the download as it streams fantastically, 2nd only to veetle in my opinion.

In Germany Zattoo is free, but like a lot of people I'm also trying to find a way of using it to watch UK TV.
I've tried the Steganos activation code as above, but with no luck. I'll keep trying though.
It looks quite good, am I right in assuming that people in the UK can only get UK channels and none of the German ones ?

I believe the choice of language during installation of Stephanos is what defines what IP address you get. I live in France, chose English and get English Zattoo. I've reinstalled in another folder and chose German and get the German channels. I'm just worried it may end up causing a conflict having 2 versions of Stephanos on my computer.
All I have to say is one almightly thank you to you, to everyone who's posted on how to use Stephanos. I'm using the code posted but intend to purchase myself as soon as I have a little to spare on my pension. Thank you guys, you're the very best.

You don't have to install two versions of Steganos.Choose the spanish language and it will give you both english and german IP when you connect and disconnect the VPN.

i tested the vpn stuff for zattoo and both worked, i can log in and watch, but it's not good is the speed of the stream, is there any alternative to increase the speed? my connection isnt slow, it is up to 2mb dsl, but while streaming seems under 1mb. thanks sharing the softwares ;)

I really appreciated your post ede23 and after having no problems with Steganos I decided to give Cyberhost a go. Unfortunately, it's wrecked havoc with my connection and computer. I've tried a half dozen installs, and cleaned up and reinstalled but to no avail. Everytime I launch the program after install and reboot it loads the opening screen but can't load the log on screen. It then crashes and gives me an error message to send to Microsoft

The stream speed is good,the VPN speed could be the problem,I noticed sometimes it drops,maybe because the server is overloaded.

It's not as cheap as others but it's an excellent connection, unlimited bandwidth, technical assistance and they also do 9 other countries. Get what you pay for, I guess.

I try to obtain Zattoo through Mask surf pro.
I was able to download zattoo through a german IP (After I also changed the language of my system) But than when I start Zattoo it first starts to obtain the channel list but it can´t find any.
Does anyone know how I can bypass this so that it does work for me?

UK are going to get free broadcast quality service for 5 main channels for 2 weeks over christmas. I guess this is a trial of the service in Germany.

yes we do but now we are getting a selection of channels in what they are calling broadcast quality. It means when you load up zattoo the screen is bigger rather than the small box we have now.

If i am not wrong the same problem was with Gmail now everybady can have account in it.

It's even smarter as Geo-IP detection as I tries to download it with a proxy which worked but when you start the program it first starts to retrieve the channel list and than it uses some sort of internal proxy by itself which can't be changed.
Pretty smart altogether and I have'nt found a way to view UK channels outside the UK

Hi Chrizzie, I'm in Spain and have no problems getting all the UK channels in both normal quality and the new broadcast quality. I'm just using a very reliable purchased UK VPN. Unfortunately it appears I'm not allowed to post the link.

You need to download the zattoo programma for that:

However it's fiercely regionally blocked so you can download it only in certain regions and only receive the channel where you are eligible for. I've tried to find a turnaround for this (i.e. Proxies) but none worked.
I'm sure it only works on VPN.

I think its just a German ip it gives you mate but the software is in both German and English with 10 gig a month were HotSpot Shield only give 5 gig. :)
Zattoo is only good when you live in switzerland.
I see now they removed DSF for Germany, at the moment its not more avaible for Germany.

actually zattoo is working only with vpn server. free vpn are most to low to cann see the programms. next problem are in some countries zattoo is no longer free, so in france you have to pay 2,50 / month. so this time only watch.zattoo.com works with vpn, but no free suisse vpn server have the speed we need :o

I registered with a french IP,but the client couldn't connect to their servers.Looks like they have geoIP filter just like Zattoo.It's a pitty,because it's the best free VPN service I have ever found.The server admin told me that they had to take this measure forced by the french law,because some foreign users abused their service(hackers maybe).

You don't need a french mail,use your own mail.I tried myself with UltraVPN and it still didn't work,it said the username and/or password is invalid.By th way,I can't connect and others too to UltraVPN servers for about 2 weeks now.Is it working for you?I reinstalled it with the version from their site and it still doesn't work.
