I am trying to watch the Man United Bolton match, but every 5 seconds the stream stops. This is annoying for obvious reasons. In fact, I have only had a constant stream with no interruptions once. Does anyone know how to get a constant, steady stream? Sorry if this has been addressed before...I am a noob. Thanks for the help!
First allow 50 connections :

Then TVAnts will work faster and the stream will get better for you, this should solve almost all problems. make sure a firewall isn't blocking TVANts . It could be a channel problem also, but mainly the General tip works fine :D

Thanks for the help. I followed the instructions and at first it appeared to help, but now it is still stopping. I just want to make sure I did it correctly. I unziped the file, pressed C to change. typed in 50 then pressed enter. A message said that a patch wants to change some settings, I clicked enter to allow this change. I then recieved a message stating that WIndows has been changed and may not be stable anymore, and I should insert my Windows disc to intsall the origianl files. I did not do this. Did I follow the instructions correctly?
Is there anything else you can think of that could be the problem? Perhaps it is the channel...I am watching ESPN. You mentioned a firewall could be blocking TVAnts. If this was the case, wouldn't TVAnts not come through at all? How can I verify no firewalls are blocking TVAnts?
Thanks agian for your patients and help with this!!!
I think it's the channel, many many people were watching it, which makes it slow and stopping sometimes :(
After running the program to 50 connections, a restart of your pc is needed...

That was my next question. Is this a P2P program where the more people that watch, the faster it is, or is it the opposite? The one time I was able to get a clear stream, I was watching a reserve match, maybe that is why it was fast?
If popular channels are slowed down by the high demand, do you recommend starting the stream an hour before the game starts, to beat the rush?

It depends on the program , the channel and the people that watch. Some programs can handle more people , some channels do ahve a bad upload and some people that are watching don't contribute enough to get the stream running good enough. PPMate and PPLive reach the max and best quality, same for TVU and PPStream, but Sopcast and TVAnts just got lower Q , it's just a bit different for every program.
It's better to tune in early and to got it running already , 1 hour before kick off is a good time to load it already.

When it comes to watching football, which channels have had a historically good performance? And which ones have been poor?
ESPN should be running fine normally , CCTv5 is good, SHTV/Guandong are good on TVAnts.
