PPstream doesn't work

when i try to connect to any channel it keeps saying

connecting to media...ready....connecting to media...ready....connecting to media...ready

it keeps saying that but it never really connects, i don't know what's wrong..

none of the other programs work for me as well, any suggestions..

I have same problem, but some of other programs works fine.

When I want to play it in PPStream I get that message "Connecting to media...Ready....Connecting to media...Ready....Connecting to media...Ready ...."

If I redirect it to WMP (version 9) I get error message "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because a network error occurred."

If I use link from WMP and try to play it in VCL Media Player there is no error message, but no image and no sound either.

I have Windows 2000, so there is no problem with number of connections. I can see traffic from and to PPStream. Lights are: red (always red), green, green. I have tried opening ports in router for ports shown when I go over first light, but no success. Tried without firewall, no success. Tried to googgle it, no success.

Few times I got image and sound for few moments in WMP, but after few seconds error message appeared.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall different versions too.

Can someone give advice what to try or what to test?

does not work for me nothing constant buffering reach 99% then drops to 60 back forth anyone has it ?

I have tested everything, tried to change settings on PC and router, re-installed programs, even tried to find answer on chinese websites :lol: but PPStream doesn't want to work on my PC. :shots himself into head: :lol:

I have the exact same problem
and I have no idea how to get this to work
I can get TVants to work but not PPsteam or ppmate

weird running fine to me must be firewall problems does your channel lists update

Try to open the PPStream and the go to the PPStream folder and load the asx-file in the folder:
default: C:\Programs\PPStream\http

I have tried latest version few days ago and it's working fine. I don't how and why. :)

Well, ppstream always worked fine for me but i've recently moved to another part of Canada and now the problem described in this thread is happening to me! I've been desperately trying to fix it over the past hour for my Real Madrid match but it's getting nowhere. what the hell is going on?!

I tried downloading the (newer for me)english version of ppstream that someone kindly posted in this subforum (thanks!) and the program loads fine but the "connecting to media...ready..." etc is still happening.

I don't understand what Lau has suggested above? :)

ppmate always seems problematic/not as good a picture as ppstream, but i'm trying to get channels on it now and ppmate's doing something similar, buffering up to 33% and then dropping back to 0.

any ideas/help? thanks!

Has anyone of you guys tried version 1.0.4.538 (http://myp2p.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9262)? It works great for me, version 1.0.4.637 for me is slow and jams all the time and the latest version 1.0.4.650 contains a trojan and doesn't work for me.

Do you use same computer, but just different ISP?

I'm asking because I have have almost same configurations on both computers, but in Split PPStream doesn't work. I can't find difference.
