I'm sorry gerragher, don't call Sporting players as cheaters!!!! Look at Babel's penalty tuesday.

Just for you gerragher, 3 names: Mourinho, Ronaldo and Nani (3 big nightmares for you).

Come on Chelsea, eliminate Liverpool from CL.

    Big CL final: Chelsea-Man Utd

I didn't call your team 'cheaters'. its nothing about going down to get a penalty. even in babels case was contact, but it wouldn't have to be given. the week before, arsenal could have had a penalty but didn't get it. the difference is, these players got up and continued. sometimes players suffer injuries and need to get carried off, 2 out of 10 continue play... 8 out of 10 sporting players got carried off just to be back... thats not cheating, it just shows the size of their balls.
don't get me wrong, your team played some nice football, they may have some good young talents who are very good on the ball, but rangers have players that even continue while being injured.

btw I'd like to see mourinho again...hes been a great servant for our club. so nice to see him crying in front of the kop lol.
as for ronaldo and nani; they're great footballers, but they don't have balls either.

WALTER SMITH has named Jean-Claude Darcheville as his lone striker for tonight's crucial UEFA Cup quarter-final second leg against Sporting Lisbon in the Jose Alvalade Stadium.

With Daniel Cousin now recovered from a fractured jaw picked up against Bremen at Ibrox on March 6 it was suggested that the towering striker could make a shock return to the Gers' starting line-up.

The Gabon international, however, is lacking in match finess and will be on the bench for this evening's hugely anticipated clash.

Darcheville will be given the job of scoring the away goals his side need to progress through to the semis although he will require plenty of support from his midfielders.

As expected Smith has named Lee McCulloch and Steven Davis on the left and right flanks respectively with Brahim Hemdani sitting behind Barry Ferguson and Kevin Thomson in the middle of the park.

In defence Christian Dailly will partner Carlos Cuellar in the absence of suspended David Weir with Sasa Papac featuring at left-back and Kirk Broadfoot on the right.

The gaffer has plenty of firepower on the bench with Kris Boyd, Steven Naismith, Chris Burke and Nacho Novo desperate to be involved.

Sporting are missing influential centre-half Anderson Polga after he picked up a thigh muscle against Braga last weekend. Gladstone is the Brazilian's replacement on the night.

It is all set to be a cracker with the playing surface in perfect condition.

SPORTING LISBON: Patricio; Abel, Gladstone, Tonel, Grimi; Moutinho, Veloso, Romagnoli, Izmailov; Vukecevic, Liedson

Subs: Tiago, Silva, Ronny, Djalo, Farnerud, Tiui, Pereirinha

RANGERS: McGregor; Broadfoot, Dailly, Cuellar, Papac; Davis, Ferguson, Hemdani, Thomson, McCulloch; Darcheville

Alexander, Boyd, Novo, Burke, Whittaker, Cousin, Naismith

    Referee: Konrad Plautz (AUT

Solid 1st half performance by Rangers.

Darchy not getting a lot of the ball, can see Cousins on soon to bang in the goal we need and then on the 75th minute Novo jumping on and bangin another
