but this year the team from last years playoff, a much improved team since last year, have to do it alone

I agree. He's been out too long to be a factor. By the time he will back into the flow of things with the team the playoffs will be over or close to it... and they will lose games in the process because he will be so out of sync with his teammates. Who knows? It might hurt more than help.

I believe in Oden, coming from surgery averaging 8-8 in 22 mins with so much pressure on his shoulders,i see myself in his place chocking anytime when i would see the floor Think about with 30 mins game,he's a double double guy easily, and as rookie shooting 57% is awesome at center.

On the offense he will be better, this year on a playoffs team don't expect him to do to much, his role is rebound, hustle, defend and sometimes take the easy pass in case of double team. The offense is going through Roy and Aldridge plus the wing players Outlaw and Fernandez.Oden can hook shot left and right, has good footwork, good blocker,i've seen him in college shoot the ball,he has already has more post moves then 3/4 of centers in this league, more than Bynum or Howard coming in the league.

Everybody speaking about Brook Lopez but Oden's Per is leading all rookies at center.Next year he will be more confident, you need 2 years to come fully back from knee surgery, the danger of fail back or get injured again is always big, plus less mistakes, meaning no more too much fouls or speeding his game, the rookies usually mistakes .we have to wait more tojudge him, look at Bargnani right now playing well, for 6 months he was a bust, now a already good player,so i will not sell Oden now,i will wait 2 years before i would say he failed.Sure Durant should have been 1st Pick if you're thinking back, but at time the Blazers need was a center, and wing players evoluate faster than centers and don't forget in Oklahoma Durant has rookie got all shoots, last year people was saying he don't deserve to be rookie of year, now where at they, praising him,so we really don't know.If Durant was selected by Blazers with B-Roy,Aldridge,he will never be so good right now,he would have to share the offensive load,on the Thunders he's the man.Oden on a team where he's the man, playing more than 30mins,i can see averaging a good 15-10 at less.So we will see

    I truly believe in Oden

Back to us who is the better opponent for the celtics

    Bulls,Heat,76ers or Pistons?

you can not say oden hasnt been a dissapointment this year. sure he is very talented and has all a good center need in this league but this year was a total dissapointing year for greg.
neverless i think he will be one of the best one days. but he needs two, three more years i guess...

Some other guy was also praising Oden because he was leading rookies in double-doubles. The point is: so what? The fact that he can be a factor adds even more importance to his inconsistency: you just can't keep fouling out of games in less than 30 minutes, specially when your team needs you so much.
He's turnover and foul prone. A bad decision maker. He's not reliable at all. That's why people - including me - keep talking about Lopez: the Nets know he's gonna give them 2 blocks and a bit more than 10 points and 8 rebounds. And he's an excellent FT shooter for a guy with his size and age. Brook will get into the game knowing what he's supposed to do and what he's not, playing within his skill level and just being simple and efficient. Oden can give you 5 blocks in a quarter but then make 4 turnovers and foul out. Then McMillan will have to sub Przybilla in and Aldridge will have to play center for some minutes and try to be the banger he isn't. It hurts the team strategy.
As good as Oden can be, he will only be important when the
Trailblazers are able to start trusting him.

Really very good point,i have nothing to say against that,i would like to see him perform consistently, fewer fouls, less turnovers,i agree with you.The fact i was pointing was we haven't seen not all of him right now,i was defending him not to be a bust, because i can't tell somebody to be a bust just after 50 games,we really don't know his ceiling, will be an offensive weapon or a far better Mutombo, the pressure is big over him,but so young we clearly see he don't have the maturity right now.And i like brook Lopez, steal of the draft so far,the Nets have a center for the 10 years, who will be the contender for Dwight howard for best center in the east.On the potential i was speaking to say like Durant,Oden could make major improvements over the summer and that he has the talent to be a big big center in this league, whatever journalist are saying now,we all know journalists, the same guys taking you down, can praise you on the next day

And by the way i don't like Mcmillan,i think he should put more mix of uptempo,he has guys who can run,he don't have to play halfcourt all the time, i don't think he's a good fit on the long term, for develloping young players,he's great, but to take the team to the finals someday i doubt

You know people were expecting from Oden to came and right dominate the game,i means the paint, but knowing the surgery, the fact he's not even the second offensive option on his team,i was only expecting flashes of greatness, and i have had some to make me pretty sure, this guy can be awesome, the question was how long he will need to learn the game, and the answer so far more than a season. If you think this way you're already half sastified, half wanting for more like myself

I don't really get the Garnett situation. Doc said he'd play him for about 10 mins a game and now he's giving him a day off?? If he's not ready to play there's no point of risking him even if he is arguably the best player on the team. They should allow him to get at least 95% healthy before he steps onto the court.

He didn't gave him a day off. KG wasn't feeling good, he had soreness in the knee. Perhaps he will play on Sunday, butr everything depends on todays practise.

KG will also miss todays game against Thunder. He didn't practise yesterday and he's also doubtful for Bobcats on wednesday. But against the Hawks on friday he will probably play.
