Nice to see you again too. And that goes for everyone else here as well. I've actually been here from time to time for a month or so now, posted a few times, but obviously I'm not as active since I can't stream as of yet. So, I'm currently back on the "viewer/customer" side of things. I'll be checking back as frequently as possible, and if I can get access to mlb.tv and also get some better Internet service than the crap I'm currently getting here (sheesh do I miss the bandwidth I had in Korea), I'll most definitely be up to streaming and getting back on the "provider" side of things. Anyway, to repeat, it really is great to see everyone again.

Damn Broxton, that's twice now that he's blown a save for Billingsley .....and each time he ended up with a win

I know how bad that can suck. And Broxton is like the one closer you don't have on your roster... just kidding (I know, I have four closers on my roster myself.).

Hey, at least you don't have Brandon Morrow. He's blown two saves consecutively this week, and cost me a total of 24 points! Apparently he threw all four-seam fastballs during his save chances, and it finally dawned on him that, in his own words, "I've got to mix it up better". GENIUS!

Anyway, I guess I'll stick with him a little while longer, but he's on a much shorter leash.

P.S. I guess noone really was into my idea about choosing a real GM and manager for their teams...no worries, I was probably being over-zealous anyway.

Anyway, I thought I'd just say it again, sincerely everyone, good luck and have an enjoyable rest of the season! (I'm finding it hard at the moment with the Phillies sucking wind lately! )

Hmmmm, like a couple of hours more.....
Kind of like when I rename my team for Bradley and then release him the next day,you just can't trust another GM.

On another note, I can't believe how many trades you are making, you do know that trades and acquisitions are not scoring categories?
Seriously though, it does keep things interesting.

I'm about to lose Delgado for the season, and although I've already got me an adequate replacement in Helton, it's sad not to have a single Met left in my lineup....not to mention what it means for the Mets themselves!

And finally if you want to know; Trey Hillman is my favorite manager as he has the Manger of the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters when they won the Japan Series while I was living over there.

Besides that only the Mets managers matter (say those last three words quickly), in which case I actually preferred Willie Randolph to Jerry Manuel.

I actually joined a public league on ESPN fantasy baseball last night and did a live draft. It was pretty cool, lasted about an hour and a half to two hours (but that was only because of a few guys who were agonizingly slow and one dude who turned on the draft but was away for the duration and didn't set autopick). You get a minute and a half to make your pick when it becomes your turn, and it's a classic draft meaning it goes from 1-10 and then from 10-1 until all your players are chosen. As you might've guessed, a league consists of 10 teams. If ten of us could get together, we could do this, but I realize that getting everyone together for the live draft could be difficult considering the diverse locations around the world in which we live. It would be very cool though to play with those you know.

And by the way, I think ESPN's fantasy baseball is very good. You get to pick all your players. I say this because I have a team in fantasy baseball on the MLB official site and it's more limited. For pitching, you have to select an entire pitching staff of a certain team, for instance the Philadelphia Phillies staff, not individual pitchers. Also, once your draft is done and the team set, in ESPN you can designate untouchables in your trading block section and express interest in players on other teams. The interactive features are just much more richer. Don't know about Yahoo's version, but ESPN seems pretty solid to me.

Alright, sorry for the long post.

I was thinking about ESPN's fantasy baseball considering I use it for football, and that's better than anything else out there. But yes the draft will be the biggest problem we face, so if any one has any ideas, now would be the time to express them.

I think a good and logical first step would be to figure out where every one of the prospective participants live. It doesn't have to be an exact location, just the time zone. For instance, I live in the Pacific Time Zone of the United States since I'm in Oregon. If we get the time zones where everyone else who would participate lives, we can perhaps come up with a time for all to get together for the live draft that wouldn't be at an ungodly hour for anyone. I think the draft is pretty much the only such time that everyone would have to be online at the same time. Everything else in terms of running the league, transactions, etc. can go forward from there without that need. I may be wrong, but that's how I understand it.

I'm cool with the time since it would be 10AM here on the west coast of the U.S. Saturday might be better than Sunday for those of us who might attend church, but if Sunday is the best for all, it could be doable.
