they can moan about the money as much as they like, it's down to falling attendances (31000 against Norwich? ) which is driven by the recession, and reduction in TV revenue (so thanks Rupert ) but you could argue we haven't been worth watching this season.. if the players pull their fingers out we can solve both problems!

Quote from Robert Elstone's blog on the website:

Of course, in the last 48 hours the question ‘Where Has the Arteta Money Gone?' has been raised again. The first thing to repeat is the bank didn't force the sale. The £10m instantly became £9m when we paid sell-on fees to Real Sociedad. Sadly, and despite a lot of hard work, £9m could become £7.5m by the end of the year with gate revenues dropping below budget (made even sadder by rumours of the sabotage of ticket sales, programmes and other matchday income). And £7.5m may well become £5.5m as our live TV appearances drop below the budget we set based on previous seasons' appearances.

So we're through to the FA Cup SF to face Lpool at Wembley

But today they announce the game is a 12.30 ko and is only being shown live on ESPN which most people dont have !!

So it looks like this game could be one of the most watched via internet streams ever...

Lets hope Sopcast is working ok that day !!

Everton's pre-season details for the start of 2012/13 are still to be finalised, but what is certain is the first team squad will travel to Austria once again for a training camp in June. Everton have enjoyed this part of the pre-season where the hard work is done on the fitness side of the training.

It looks like the club has decided to go to Europe rather than the USA for a few friendly games.

The club were in talks with organisers of a tournament in Portugal's Algarve, but agreement was not reached and this may not happen. So no leaving the family in Praia De Rocha while we go to watch the game in the sunshine.

There is a chance that Everton will take part in a tournament in Poland, but again nothing has been finalised.

Everton Pre-Season games so far confirmed:

Everton will face Morecambe (14 July, 2pm), Dundee United (18 July, 7.45pm), Motherwell (21 July, time TBC) and Blackpool (5 August, time TBC).

There's a rumour going around that we're playing Rotherham United on Saturday, July 28th.It will be the first game played at their brand new £20m 'New York Stadium', apparently, which opens on that day.

Everton will play Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on July 31st as part of the pre-season preparations. This is the Final of the Liverpool Senior Cup but will be mostly for reserves and young players.

‏@toffeetalk - French media reports that Marseille, Galatasary and Everton are scheduled to play in an exhibition tournament in Indonesia...

Everton & Galatasaray On Their Way

Finally news is trickling out about Everton's proposed tour to Indonesia. There will be a Java Cup held in July, from 26-29, in Jakarta that will feature Everton and Galatasaray.

Apparently a press conference will be held on Wednesday giving more information...

Great news that we have signed Steven Naismith - Jelavic's best strike partner from Rangers.

Good business getting him on a free transfer and he's a hardworking, versatile player that should suit us well.

Here's his 9 goals for Rangers last season before his knee injury:

Everton is gonna be a lil weak on the depth since they sold Cahill to us!! What?? They expect Champions League soccer because they sold their best men??
