I think Spurs have a great team. A blind man could see that. On the other hand we have dropped maybe 10-12 points thru bad luck (+ injuries) and just as many thru stupidity. Our back line has been changed x-many times and our midfield was seemingly held together by an ageing Spaniard. We`ve been there before, but what if next season all goes right for us? Now we`ve already got decent challengers for defence, midfield and now attack and the transfer window is barely open. I´m pretty positive that Arsene is still the man to take us forward. Would love it if Jürgen Klopp would come here at some stage, but Wenger knows.

Thought we'd gotten away with a decent kit this year, then I saw this Monstrosity of an (unconfirmed) away kit:

    What were they thinking?

We all have our criticisms of Wenger but the fact is he has done something that only one other PL manager can boast and that is consistently finished in the CL places year after year after year after year. The fact that he has done that on a tighter budget than most of the rest is even more impressive. The target for next year is, of course challenging for trophies but at the moment we'll take the auto qualification for the CL and not worrying about Chelseas result.

Oh, and by the way...Mind the gap
I think if you look back through this thread mossy, it has clear evidence that I (take out the jokes as you just said) always backed Wenger to stay at Arsenal and also said he would be the right man to do the job most consistently. Others in here thought very differently and wanted him treated as if he never had anything to do with Arsenal, sad but true.

We can only hope this is fake or a mock up/cancelled design. There's been talk of striped shirts for a while now though so, if this isn't the final design, it may be close to it. I remember seeing the mock up of the 07/08 away kit and thinking it was absolutely disgusting and then, after seeing it irl not finding it that bad, hopefully this one is the same (if it is real)

By the way, for those who are interested in kits:
Arsenal Home Kits through the ages
Arsenal Change Kits through the ages

Oh, totally get your point. Was just saying that celebrating this years achievments, such as they were, does not mean that we will be aiming for the same next year. The second part of my post was for a more general audience, though it was in reply to you. Either way, I'm sure this summer and next year will be interesting for both our teams.

"Sunderland will abandon plans to sign the Arsenal loanee Nicklas Bendtner after the striker missed the team bus on Sunday, and also because he isn't actually very good, and will turn their attention instead to Athletic Bilbao's Fernando Llorente. So Arsenal might find themselves stuck with Bendtner despite slapping a hardly prohibitive £3.5m asking price upon his outsized head, and the bad news doesn't end there: Tottenham appear to have pipped them to the signing of the Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen, who was at White Hart Lane on Sunday to witness the final-day victory over Fulham, and was given a full tour of their training facilities." Simon Burton

Firstly, was Bendtner supposed to get on the bus or did he just shoot at it? Can`t we just burn his contract? Secondly, so what? We already have the Verminator. Was he supposed to keep the bench warm every other week? Never quite understood that rumour.

So, Almunia is finally released. Gotta admit, I feel a bit sorry for him. He was never good enough to be the first choice Keeper but was alright backup, no more but no less either.

He was blamed a lot for the mistakes of an average team, in fact a lot of the mistakes he made I've seen Chesney make this season get away with. By the end he looked totally shorn of confidence and with the crowd on his back he was never gonna get it back. Perhaps this will be good for him, there's talk of him going to West Ham. I honestly wish him all the best.

I have never forgiven him for that horridness game he had against Barcca in the CL final, good riddance for me, I hope he goes to West Ham that will give us a good chance of beating them whenever we play them

Arsenal stars use 'John Terry' as code for ugly girls, says Wojciech Szczesny
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has risked angering new European champions Chelsea, by revealing Gunners players refer to ugly girls on nights out as ‘John Terry’.

I've got to admit I'm a bit gutted to see him go but if he goes to the Hammers and is Robert Green's back-up,it can only mean one thing. West Ham to go back down

Can't help noticing that RvP has been photoshopped out of the new kit splash screen on Arse.com and replaced with Podolski. Of course, that doesn't mean anything, Arsenal just showing off the new signing, and he is still in the pictures in the shopping screens, just a bit strange to replace your captain & best player for the new signing on the first page of your website.

Lot of nonsense still to come I'm sure either way, if he goes, he goes, if he stays, he stays. Arsenal were around before Robin and it'll still be around after he's gone.

Well, if RvP does go there's a replacement already in the side. might have to get a new keeper though!
