    Default Enhanced Sopcast Video Quality : A tutorial using ffdshow decoder.

    I noticed some people was asking for simple ways to enhance the picture quality (color + brightness + contrast ) so I decided to post this.

    Without enhancement

    With Enhancement

    Here is the url

    (this are mere screenshots, you have to try it yoursel to see the difference)

    Any problems, feel free to post questions here or on the blog post.

    Enjoy.

    Hi All,

    I am new to the forum and would like to say hello.

    i am just looking for some advise on this tutorial.

    I ran through the steps and everything worked fine.
    I installed both the ffdshow and the filter to my local drive but when I followed the steps via media player only the FFA icon appears at the bottom of my screen.

    I located the FFV configuration icon and dragged it to my desktop - should it still work this way as it didnt seem to make much difference when bumping saturation to max.

    sorry if im not clear enough, harder to explain when typing.

    any help appreciated

    @Mellio,

    I know why that happens. When installing ffdshow, make sure the tickboxes around VC-9 or WMV/WMP are ticked and marked as ffmpeg. Sorry I cant do a screen grab now as I am on a darn mobile.
