    Default Help: Don't understand instruction

    Hi thanks for the information. However, I don't understand step 4 and am stuck there:

    * 4: After installation is complete, the console downstream players, current players, the mplayer test:. / Mplayer-playlist playlist.txt;

    I am not sure if I was doing correctly but I did the following at the command prompt:

    apt-get install mplayer

    and then type at the prompt #mplayer -playlist playlist.txt

    but got some error messages:

    mplayer: could not connect to socket
    mplayer: no such file and directory
    failed to open LIRC support: you will not be able to use your remote control

    playing tvod.....................

    exiting....(end of file)

    Something must be amiss. I did not get any ppstream player up. I appreciate your help.
