    Greetings,

If you guys are viewers the bottom line is you don't have
a say. The streamers will do as they please.

Did I really need to mention this? Is this thread some kind
    of joke.

StreamTorrent over TVAnts anyday but thats just me. Sad thing is development has stopped for now with StreamTorrent.

If ever a password is needed in any of my or other users uploads try myp2p, Myp2p or wiziwig.

My views exactly mate. ST is a much better platform than TV ants as it seems to be more forgiving with the upload speeds requirements and quality wise looks good. Its just a shame that it appears that they have stopped development. Their google group is like a ghost town. If possible they should release the source so that someone else capable can pick up the work.

sopcast and tvants were nice, but they are the past.

ST is better in most ways. Quality, load times, simple to use.

Let's keep moving away from the past, and to better things.

From my experience ST has horrible load times. I don't know if there is something wrong with it on my end but it always take minutes and minutes to buffer up the first time.

sounds like an issue on your end. works fine for me. make sure you have the most current version. normally takes less then 30 seconds for a 500kb stream to load up and im only on a 6mbs down and 768kbs up. its the fastest connection available where i live. perhaps your firewall is slowing your connections? or if u use peerblock or peerguardian you should have those turned off as well. ive heard of tvants being vulnerable as well, the ability to install spyware and viruses through the ads.

    Well,

In my opinion StreamTorrent is an excellent peace of software, very fast and with superb picture quality. I don't know why some people keep having problems but I really do believe that it either because of their connection or because of the streamer, as I use the program mostly for British tv channels they all seem to load very quickly and in very good picture quality...

My 2 cents ST all the way. Or old reliable SopCast. Now question how does SopCast support H.264 no one has ever answered that for me.

I think you can stream to sopcast using VLC with the h.264 codec, but this does not work with ST/ TVANTS

This weekend it's England v Ukraine, we don't know in advance where the best stream will be. But I bet no matter which is your favourite program, be it Stream Torrent, TVAnts, Sopcast, TVU etc.. you'll have the full armoury of programs installed. Fact is, you need to have them all.
