Default IPod / Iphone / Ipad related questions? Ask here

I'm thinking of getting an IPod and just wondering if all of the songs you download have to come off ITunes.

I download all of my albums as torrents and would like to continue to do this and put the songs on an IPod.

    Thanks

You might want to shop around for something better. If you don't need all those silly little apps, there are much better mp3 players on the market, for much less. Anything you put on a iPod has to be put through iTunes, whether you like it or not.

If you're going to be carrying 120GB in your pocket, you might as well be able to use it as a portable hard drive too.

It's like you saw the Apple symbol in the sky, and you had to come rescue your precious little iPod.

If you're after a pure music player (with the option to watch video) then get a sony. The sound quality is far superior and the supplied headphones are usually very good.

Here's a decent one from Argos ex-stock here

The battery lasts easily 30+ hours if you turn the brightness down on this.

    OR

if you still prefer ipods you could pay Sony double the price and ask them to take some of the features away... that way its basically an Ipod

So all your opinions are based on what's cheaper? that's ok but I was referring to what gives you the most features AND looks cool.

The only iPod that cant be used as a removeable disc drive is the touch. So bam, just shot down that idea.

I've got the new iPod Touch today and have a few questions.

How do I get films I downloaded as Torrents on to iTunes?

How do you get a WiFi network at home?

But isn't that the only one people want these days??

If we're talking older iPods, then I can think of a million other reasons not to waste my money on one.

Okay how about this then, other than mp4s, what video formats can you play on iPods? My Archos plays everything I throw at it. I guess if you don't mind waiting for videos to convert, before waiting for videos to import, before watching them, then the iPod is the player for you.

If you want to compare the iPod's shininess to other players, then I agree it wins. However, if you want to compare specs and features, then there are plenty of cheaper, and better options out there than Apple's iStatusSymbol.

ForumW.org & Warez-BB.org are the only two forums I ever need to check when I'm searching for something, because one of them will always have what I'm looking for. Just add "ipod" or "mp4" to your search, and you should find what you're looking for.

    But iPods still suck.
