Australia v New Zealand (Tri Nations 2000)
It's a bloody good job that William Webb Ellis didn't go to school in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantisilio gogogoch.

Oh yes that was a memorable match! Ireland vs. Australia last Sunday was very exciting but the quality of play wasn't that good. RWC final 2007 was quite epic imo.

australia vs new zealand 4 october 2009,4 nations...by far the best game of rugby league I've seen in my life...

as far as rugby union, the best recent game I saw was Wales vs Samoa...wales really anted up their game these days! and Musnter vs the AB's last year was epic

2 pens and a drop goal. Plus it was the fact Scotland won, and had a brilliant defence.

True, although the game was lacking many tries I still believe it was a very intensive game with a nerve breaking end. It shows games can also be exciting without a lot of tries.

    +1

but I still think that some of the decisions made by the players make some games totally boring...in the wales vs argentina game, the commentator actually said "here we go with the infinite kicking...well...rubbish actually"

Indeed. For those of you suffering a deficit of tries, I certainly am. I'd suggest you watch the highlights of Scotland A vs Tonga here:

I know it's highlights but the lack of kicking shown, is quite heartwarming
