Sea@Den 10-20-85 - 45 minute edit. Thanks to AFL Fan who originally posted this.

Got 1 or two more 85's uploading tonight. I'll probably hold off on the game for artbyrob for awhile since he won't be around to download it until after Monday. Den Oak has been done since yesterday but I need to watch it to make sure the sync is ok.

    ^ Hey Hawk,

Thanks for your careful work with that resync Den-Oak, and for putting up these reposts for I4JE and others.

I've got something (via Flash) that I think you'll especially like up next.

When you get a chance, if you could d/l ABR's 82 SD-Mia D 2 & 3 and report back on what you find, I'd appreciate it.
    _____

    I4JE, Thanks a lot for 32! I'm d/l now.

^Thanks to the original uploader (flash) of the above SF Den.

Everybody probably already knows this but just in case, for games like that SF Den and another I put back up the other day, I think it was the game vs GB in the snow that have that odd aspect ratio, you can crop the video within your media player. For instance with VLC, under the video setting at the top, I leave the aspect ratio set to default and change the crop setting to 4:3.

    ------

Ok AFL I'll let you know what I find. I take it whatever I find isn't going to be good. Doesn't sound good.

    ------

Ok I downloaded disc 2 and have started downloading disc 3. However I don't have to wait for it to finish to see the problem you are referring to. Some of the files are duplicates. VTS_01_3 for instance is incorrect for both discs 2 and 3 because that one is for disc 1.

Well at least he is on the right track. He is closer to having the whole thing up because it appears some of the files are the correct files and he doesn't have to worry about corrupt archives. It looks like he just selected some the wrong files for upload this time.

^ Thanks, Hawk. Yeah, I suspect not. But better to have it confirmed at this point. Possibly files mixed up (due to not naming files specifically for each disc?).

I know how it goes, I've been working on my next one for most of the day. It's close, but still needs a little work.

San Francisco 49ers at Detroit Lions
    September 6, 1981 (week 1)
    Opening Day, A Dynasty Begins

Thanks A Lot to Flash for this one!

Good game. Billy Sims plays well, SF already looking better than 1980. Original commercials, Halftime. Missing final 18sec on game clock (no scoring).
No audio first 1m35s (CBS feed), and last play. Occasional small audio sync issues. Very Good video (a little fuzzy).
Occasional video tape and original file artifacts include tape rough spots, color flicker, picture shake, and brief picture freezes.
    1 DVD (4.10 GB), in 5 7-Zip files

Files 3 and 4 will need to be renamed so that they are the same as the other file names; I'm not sure that any other file names need to be changed before extracting,
but make sure they are the same except the .003, .004, etc. at the end. If anyone needs detailed instructions for renaming files:

I'm getting to that 89 AFC Championship Game real soon but I've also got SB 36 coming up. It has the entire pre game, half time, and post game of it as well as the game of course. I'm not sure if it was posted by Hawk a while back or not because I didn't get around to d/l his links which are now deleted. But I got this off a torrent recently. It's just under 2 gigs and it's from SkySports. Hopefully I'll have both of those games up in the next couple of days since I'm on my weekend from my job.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
    December 21, 1980 (week 16)
    No Announcer Game

Thanks so much to Flash again!

A one-time experiment: no TV announcers used, but PA announcer mic'ed, lots of replays, pre-recorded interviews played, stats and info put up in graphics.
Very good game. A few original commercials. Well-produced and more like being at a game. Bryant Gumble chimes in at halftime break and end of game.
Only Average to lower end of Good video (including some waviness in picture from over-air interference, but good color). A little distortion in audio.
Two chapters to the DVD (2nd plays immediately after 1st), with 4min30sec overlap at start of 2nd chapter. 1 DVD (4.35 GB), in 5 7-Zip files

Artbyrob, please see p. 179 #'s 3576-3578 for your 82 Dv SD-Mia. Some type of mix-up seems to have occurred.
It's close, but I think the problem can be avoided by renaming the pieces of each disc and adding D1, D2, etc. as soon as you separate them.
SD is one of my faves, so I'd appreciate another go. Thanks much!

^ Very nice, i'd forgotten the no announcer game, big thanks & looking forward!

Has anyone had success burning the 84 Den Cle game to disc? Says it successfully burned, but then errors in the dvd player.

Bout ready to throw my computer out the door... got it back up for now at least. Should have an upload soon.

78-79 Houston games have been a pain, but should be ready to go now. The capture device I get the best quality with doesn't work well with older games at times. Pretty much have to piece it together, cutting around bad tape spots. I think it goes together well though.

Hawk will put up a resync'd version of this game in the not too distant future--you may want to wait for that.

The undefeated Broncos come off a bye week, and get a very good game from Oakland. Interesting ending!
This is the Sky U.K. live carry of the NBC broadcast of the game, which is complete. No commercials, but Sky pre-, half-, and lengthy post-game.

There are probable 3 or 4 spots during the game where the picture rippled and since the capture device can't handle it I cut before the wave and restart directly after. First one is shortly after a Stallworth reception during the opening drive. Never happens during a play fortunately.
