One of the nice things about this forum(at least the football part of it, the only place I visit) is that people do not take themselves too seriously, if you have slow pipe then you can turn them off although this is prodominantly a streaming forum, I am pretty sure they never really affected anyones viewing a page and if it did then good luck watching streams would be my point - they never did with me.

Ah well I guess the forum caved to the moral minority lol.

What would be a win-win here, is that you, and all others who (used to) have animated sigs, wouldnt talk too much, that way we only get to see your beautiful sig once, and not 20 times on the same page.

If you ask me (I know you're not, but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway ), ban video in the sigs alltogether. I mean they're nice and all, but can get a little annoying to look at the same video 20 times in one match thread .

I run my own site.. I'm perfect for it hehehehehehehe..a couple of lines of text don't matter.. the issue is the amount of bandwidth consumed for the huge pictures and videos.. I drop the resolution on my images.. they might look big but they are very small actual files.

A whole web page of text.. on forums with perhaps 25 replies per page would be hard pressed to shove 10k's down the pipe.. it's the images and pretties which take the time to load and eat up the dwindling bandwidth resources of people on data capped packages.

Honestly.. these kinds of rules aren't made to pick on people or spoil peoples fun.. they are to benefit those less fortunate who have hard data caps.. maybe 4 gigs a month, or who are on slow or patchy connections.

It's simple to untick the "show sig" box as well. I like seeing sigs in the bar.. it's how I recognise my friends without having to look that hard at names and stuffs.. They add colour to what would otherwise be a rather faceless event. There are a few which always manage to make me smile.. that damn cow for example.. why it's funny don't ask me, but it brightens up my day every time I see it.. so it works to make my life a little less miserable and sad.. anything which manages to put a smile on my face after travel and work is a mega bonus.

I must be stupid but can anybody tell me why in the world i try to upload my sig pic on here it shows up as a super tiny picture that you cant even see. I've tried using dimensions such as 500X100, 350X70, etc (everything less than 500x100) and have used proper extensions (.gif, .png, .jpg). I have the userbars saved on my computer and want to use the 4 together like i see on so many other peoples. Each bar is 350x19 and .png. I even tried using irfan program to create the vertical panarama and saved it as 460x100 png/gif/jpg files. Everytime i upload a single bar or the whole panarama, it always shows up on here as a super tiny pic. PLEASE HELP lol

This is a problem if you upload your pic to the forum. If you want a super nice sig like the others, you have to upload it to somewhere like imageshack or tinypic and then put the code to it in you sig settings using IMG tags.
