I'm working on a program that would make it possible to view arabic tv that is broadcast by flash , vlc , windows media player and silverlight at the same time. Then it is up to us to share TV URL:s between each others. The software is able to save the urls in different files depending on the technology the support.

The rtsp -> mms changing will not work, though.
It appears that streams with the extension .sdp require either rtsp or rtmp.

Just a quick note, if you are going to end playing it up on a PC, why are you going through this kind of troubles, the Aljazeera Arabic live feed is available on their official web page , they have a nice player too that will change quality to match your speed so you don't get intermediate cuts if you speed is flaky.

aasoror .thanks a lot .yes i can play aljazeera on www.aljazeera.net .the quality i get are 350 then 480 then 600kbps .it stays 600 then after awhile it stops and i have to click on play button then i get the stream back.my question is .is there higher then 600kbps or not?thank you

As I promised earlier , I have made a program that is able to play several formats (flash,vlc , windows media player) , please see the attached file and do not hesitate to ask me. Before launching the program you must go to "option" and point at the diffrent channel list that are included at the same folder as the application. FlashTV list, VLCTV and Windows media player tv
