Milner's a very good prem player. Scores goals, creates goals (12 assists last season) and has a superb engine.

I think if he had longer left on his contract (3+ years) we would have kept him.

Pleased that we've got Ireland out of the deal though.

WILLIAM GALLAS is set to sign for Spurs - and instantly become a hate figure for Arsenal fans.

The free-agent former Gunners captain (left) will have a medical and is due to sign a one-year deal over the weekend.

A pal said: "Apart from a few details, everything has been agreed and William will have a medical on Friday."

Gallas met Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp last night and asked for a two-year contract but only a year was on offer.

Redknapp was desperate to boost his defence due to the long-standing injury problems of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.

On the up side, after watching the game against Young Boys it was clear we needed some players with experience, on the down side, we sign an ex Goon who is a miserable bastard at the best of times! If he decides to have a sit down protest at White Hart Lane I hope a few get on the pitch and kick his head in, I am just finding it really hard to be happy about this one!!!

Arsenal must have the worst players for not being loyal to their club, i mean Fabregas clearly wants to go to Barca, Gallas going to Spurs. haha

There is no doubt Gallas is a top quality defender. The man has no moral fibre though. It won't just be the Goons who will give him an awkward afternoon and I can't wait to see him back at the Bridge in a Spurs shirt As the song says,he'll always be a c**t.

Stoke are looking to sign Eidur Gudjonson and Marc Wilson from Pompey I know that. I heard a rumour that a fan favourite from Stoke will be leaving today, but apparently we are signing a good player from a top 6 team. If they mean signing Gudjonson because of the Spurs connection, I'm slightly unimpressed. As for a fan favourite... maybe Tuncay or

Marcus Bent has signed for Wolves on a loan deal. Incredible in my opinion. The guy is a proven misfire machine. Great skill, great pace and physical presence, great first touch compared to clumsy clowns like Heskey and Kuyt but couldn't hit the side of a Renault Espace. We'll see though, he's always had potential. I mean, credit the lad he has scored in the lower leagues but he has consistently proven that Premiership is just one step beyond (great ska tune). We'll see.

Besiktas have made a loan offer for Blobbie Keane.

Stoke are interested in Charles N'Zogbia. Not the top six player we were supposed to be signing (as inside rumour has it). Apparently Jermaine Jenas might be close to a move to Stoke as well (another inside rumour). What I did hear, was that it would very much irritate the fans by making this purchase so it'll be interesting to see who it is. It could be Ashley Cole that would very much irritate us haha!! joking aside, this is coming from a mate of mine who is lets say, a little closer to the inside than most
