This guide is dedicated to all UK users who get some problems with tvants.
At the beginning of the EPL season, many people noticed that tvants blocked
the p2p access to all uk viewers.
==> 2 options, Proxy Socks5 or Tor... Scroll down..
If you want a proxy yourself;
Why did they do that?
==> Perhaps because the number of p2p vierwers in the UK has become big important
How did they block that?
==> quite simply, they recommended or forced all tvants users to renew the license
upgrade to the latest version, that's why this message for those who got
the previous version :please your version of tvants has expired
this latest version contains a powerful ip sniffer system and ip locator
that before you run the concerned p2p software your ip address and the place
where you are located are already identified.
in this case some viewers have no choice, whether you do an upgrade
or you don't watch any sport channels
After a long search we definitely found a way to make it run
first thing download the latest version of tvants (normally you've got it already)
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
First experiment:
The problem of getting the sport channels to work
is to use a working proxy
==> go to this XROXY.COM - more than just proxy or Anonymous proxy test,socks5 list, anonymous proxy,Free proxy for game,- IP free of china
We recommend Anonymous proxy test,socks5 list, anonymous proxy,Free proxy for game,- IP free of china
==> choose any socks 5 proxy except from the UK
(taiwanese or korean proxies are the best ones)
==> check if the proxy is working with proxychecker
download proxychecker right here
http://www.proxifier.com/distr/ProxyChecker.exe
http://www.proxifier.com/distr/ProxyChecker.zip
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
>>> Scroll down yet to see how to put it into TVAnts! <<<
Second experiment:
a bit complicated and need a lot of attention
A - how to find username and password?
Make easy registration here: http://bbs.easy2game.com/register.aspx
(registration page under construction)
After login you can find the password here:
http://bbs.easy2game.com/showforum-2.aspx
(password page under construction)
the topic that has date in it's name: 2007年month月day
B- How to find a working proxy?
with the easy2game software you will easily see which proxies are working.
the working proxies have a percentage of 100%
First, I download Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
Then, I open it with english interface(second menue, then third submenu)
and check which one of the korean proxies are free and working.
Some of them are for VIP users but there are always free ones.
Of course you will need the password for the free socks servers
and it can be found at the usual place in the easy2game forum(check option A)
to sniff the real IP,You have to have some packet sniffing software for that.
Using it you can realize what is the real IP of the checked servers from
the easy2game soft. I use "MY IP SUite" - it's not free but either you can found
easy a cracked version or find some similar free soft.
after getting the working proxy from the option B and the password from the Option A
how to add working proxies into Tvants
==> a working proxy looks like this:
address : 222.122.12.58
port : 1180 or 1280
protocol : socks5
username : Test111, or easy2game.com, something like that..
password : e2g929
open tvants, pull down the tools option,go to settings, click on proxy
and lastly click on add proxy
to avoid some stupid questions :D more info on the picture below
(this is only a short overview, the proxy and password won't be the same every day)
And what to do now?;
==> close TVAnts again, this in order to make the proxy work. Then see our schedules, select the Listed TVAnts channel (click play) and it should start working, you can see this by going to the channels tab --> see if it's buffering ;)
Thanks to Admin,Kardinal and Jcm1973 for the help
Good Luck

Tor New Guide November 08
Hi. I was looking for a hosting guide for TVants and google threw up this as one of the first results. I noticed nobody seems to have mentioned TOR as an alternative to messing with proxy lists. TOR is a peice of software designed to obfuscate a users ip address by running through three random TOR network proxies around the world first. (i think it was designed so chinese political bloggers couldn't be tracked) anyway i decided i'll write a small guide for you guys to save you a bunch of time manually harvesting proxies.
first off you'll have to go to Tor: Download
to download the version of tor for your operating system.
when you run the installer you're going to want to do the full install, unless you don't use firefox in which case untick tor button.
once that's done leave the "run installed components" box ticked and click finish. TOR might take a minute to fully initialise, you can click "View The Network" in vidalia control point to make sure the relay list has populated.
Now to set TVants up.
Disable or remove all the proxies you have in there already and add one like this
now happens is TVants will connect to privoxy (represented by a blue circle with a white P in in your task tray) which in turn will connect to tor, which itself will automatically setup a working proxy whenever a request is made from TVants. You can mess about with the vidalia control point (green onion icon) to get a better understanding of what it does.
now to test it just run a search or try to watch a TV channel and check if the network map is filling up with attempted connections
the first search you make will often fail and tuning into a channel the first time may take a few seconds longer than normal, but you should never have any real problems getting it to connect again.
and finally normally it's considered poor ettiquette to use tor for p2p, but looking at channel details and the tor bandwidth graph it seems TVants uses the proxy to connect to a tracker and the first few peers then connects directly to the rest of the peers without using TOR.
