    PPStream doesn't block anything yet if I;m right, only PPLive does with sports channels, but not with movies or tv series.

    New version can always be downloaded using Official download links here;

    I don't want to disappoint you but what you download there is this;
    http://download.ppstream.com/ppstreamsetup.exe
    and that's always the latest new version of PPStream. Just the same as official links on our download page

    Default can not see the list of channels

    Hi,

    I need some help. I just downed the most recent PPStream, but can not see the list of channels, can not read Chinese, 'mysterious code'. Anybody knows how to fix it or have the link to an old version? I tried to uninstall and reinstall several times, it did not work. Thanks.

    PPStream is blocking CCTV-1 and CCTV-5, is there any way around this? Is there any ways to use a proxy? Thanks.

    As far as the channel list goes, its shows up all in chinese for me, just click on any channel, the show/movie's name will appear in english.

    For cctv-1 and cctv-5... i havent yet found a way to make it work with ppstream, i recommend you download the TVU player TVU Networks

    i posted the solution under the 'ppstream problems' but here's it again anyway...

    go to control panel --> clock & language --> regional and language options.

    under that, click on 'adminstrative' tab.

    and change the LANGUAGE FOR NON-UNICODE PROGRAMS to chinese simplified (PRC). restart your computer for the change to take place.

    Go to the start --> run form --> msconfig --> Startup --> there you can edit/disable it.

    OK, sorry, but I knew that way already.
    But in a good programm, it should give you the choice if you want to start at windows start up. For example in the options screen.
    But as my Chinese is not as good as it was before, maybe someone can tell me if PPStream has somewhere this option to not start up automatically.

    BTW.(1) Tomorrow I found via msconfig that PPMate also starts automatically and I cannot find the option in PPMate (although it is in English) to disable this, so I think that it's not possible in PPMate.

    BTW.(2) Is it safe to simply delete the entries of PPStream and PPMate in the registry of XP under the path ..../Run, instead of deactivating it in the msconfig menu?

    It's chinese, so you need to try and see where the settings button is. It is a way of trial and error if you want to do it the normal way

    Start PPStream --> on top select the T menu --> go to the bottom, the one with the O --> you get the Options then. I guess it's somewhere in the first screen OR the last one.

    okay.. u need a chinese user, so here i am..

    click on (T) at the top the ppstream tv. go to (O).

    a smaller window will pop up and then, on the left column, click on the last option.

    on the right column of the same window, click on the 2nd option from top. that will disable ppstream tv startup when u log in windows.

    mine has been disabled from the start, so i don't see any ticks in the boxes. maybe urs would have some ticks in the boxes.

    since i'm already here, shall post up what the other options mean. i may not have complete understanding of the options though!

    1st option prompts whether u want to exit ppstream completely every time u click on the X button on the top right.

    2nd option for disabling ppstream at windows startup.

    3rd option is to retrieve/view channels in HTTP format, but u gotta restart ppstream for the changes to take effect.

    last option, i have no idea what's that, but i guess its to buffer the channels every how many seconds or so.

    that's all. hope it helps.

    GREAT!
    Many, many thanks.

    @Admin
    (1) I think that there's quite a big Chinese community using myp2p. Can't you mobilize them to do some translation of the P2P software?

    (2) The same holds for other languages. Maybe it's possible to help the software-developers a bit and give them something back in the form of translations to make their software more useful. An idea can be to do this by a special part of this forum.
