    Default VLC scrambled and flickers

    Hello guys,

Please could you kindly help me with the troubleshoot I have already got. I have took my research through on google by how I could get rid of the green lines and the flickers colours behind the video. I have downloaded the latest version of the k-lite codec pack, and I tried to play the live streams but the video are still scrambled and flickers with green and other mixed colours which you can see it right here:

However, I have changed the video settings in preference > video output. I have already tried with OpenGL and directx output, but then he video are still scrambled and flickers. I am trying to watch HD live streams on vlc.

    Any suggests?

Sorry, I don't share or post the link. It wouldn't be fair for other people as if the link would get shut down.

However, I have posted the screenshot of the video I am watching is good enough for you to know what the problem is??

    Any idea?

You can always report his post & give the link. That way it won't be "public".

Could be any thing mate like bitrate of stream, source side, wrong codec etc... try the stream in another really good player like Daum PotPlayer.

I tried in PotPlayer, KMplayer - the stream is udp located and it seems that these 2 have problems to connect. I tried SMPlayer though. Absolutely the same result like in VLC. There are options in SMPlayer, allowing the switching between codec, demuxer and audio filter. I tried them almost all. Initially when I saw the picture on the top of this page, I though that the o.p.'s problem got solved and that raised my hopes.

You mention the bitrate. Is there any way of adjusting it in vlc? The thing is that I have about 10 HD channels. Only 3-4 of them have this problem. The rest are
perfectly fine. As far as I know they are not encrypted or something, because one of them is Viasat History, while Viasat Nature HD works perfectly fine.
