Cheers mate, working great!
9. Now VLC should start playing the stream(Pic1), after anywhere from 10-60sec the stream in your browser will stop (LEAVE IT OPEN and don't reload, just leave it as is)(Pic2), after the browser's player stops, VLC will stop shortly after (15-30sec later) Just click on Play (Pic3) and your set! now you can watch/record the stream just don't close your browser with the Veetle window.
That's what happens, as described in the how-to.![]()

For linux users it's very easy to play Veetle streams in VLC.
- All you have to do is to open your browser in Terminal
- Locate Veetle address with port number and copy/paste it to VLC

1. Download Coojah 6 .
2. Start Coojah 6.
3. Start Veetle Stream.
4. Look at Coojah 6 to see the streaming URL from Veetle.Code:http://veetle.com/index.php/channel/view#4d22f38097028
5. Copy(Ctrl+C) & Paste(Ctrl+V) that streaming URL into VLC.Code:http://127.0.0.1:1418/77.67.109.221,4d22f38097028
Easy...![]()
Say NO to Ads on streams & Stop the Virus/Malware Alerts.
If ever a password is needed in any of my or other users uploads try myp2p, Myp2p or wiziwig.

Using the Smart Sniff tool "DMW" posted awhile back. Get Link Here
I was able to find a way to watch the stream in vlc without leaving the "browser" open and was free to checkout other streams on veetle (in case I find something else I would rather watch). Now this works for me as described using windows os, other members may need to adjust settings diffrently
open smart sniff and in the options menu make the following changes:
Go to veetle, find a stream you want to watch, (if you have the veetle plugin installed) click the HD button on player to switch to SD streaming, now stop the stream.Code:Display Mode = URL list Display Protocols = Uncheck UDP and ICMP Display Filter = include:remote:tcp:80 Capture Filter = include:remote:tcp:80 Capture Options = Raw Sockets
start capture with smart sniff, then start the stream:
now in smart sniff click on index 1 if you see an address looking like this stop the capture:
or check the next index till you see the url, then stop capture, copy the url, open vlc (open network stream) paste the url and play.Code:http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/flv/xxxxxxxxxx?xxxxxxxx only need to use the url up to ?, but you can use the full url if you want.
close veetle and enjoy. *Note: most sd streams are good quality.
you can even save more urls to playlist. since they work as long as the stream/channel exist, and if still active you can play without opening your browser hours later or the next day, etc.
! This could be useful for re-streaming, with vlc !
Thanks to DEAD_MAN_WALKING for posting this useful tool.
Edit: Vlc seems to have changed the way they stream so this don't work directly at the moment.

Yepp, I found that out too.Edit: Vlc seems to have changed the way they stream so this don't work directly at the moment.
But can't be so much, otherwise it wouldn't work without updating the veetle player.
I assume they write some crap as mime type, so VLC/other player can't playback the stream.
But if you download the stream (or a few seconds), rename the file to something.flv, Vlc plays the file without any issues.

Actually the SD stream is an embedded flash player stream and the HD stream requires the download and installation of a plugin (based on vlc)
The plugin has to main exe files (Player.exe & VeetleNet.exe) which exchange info like (port and stream info when in use) that's why you can't close the webpage, or any of the exe files, when playing a stream in vlc as described in the first post.
The thing about it is you can't watch the stream live but can dump/download the stream and play back with vlc while it is still being dumped/downloaded.
(I modified the version I have so their is a 10 seconds delay before playback of the stream)
here is a screen capture form my desktop (ignore the quality of video as it was done with free, crappy, screen capture software) video

I see, we had the same idea..
Dumping the stream with wget and start VLC with a 10 s delay.
force the use of flv (I used this with ffplay)
