TorrentFreak hints that In Our Sites might seize another round of domains around the Olympic opennig ceremony

    http://torrentfreak.com/nbc-and-ioc-...irates-120725/

One way to have access to the main Wiziwig site itself, no matter what the government does with Wiziwig,tv is to put the following entry in your hosts file

    77.247.179.66 www.wiziwig.tv

Your hosts file is always given precedent over what your local DNS has. By putting that entry in your hosts file, it will guarantee what Wizwig will still be accessible to you, even if they US government does seize Wiziwig.tv.

Since the forum here is on an .eu domain, that would still be available even if the main Wiziwig site, itself, is seized.

I know mate but now you don't have to bother, you can easily access that from anywhere, and it's a big two fingers at the judge who ordered the ISPs to block piratebay.se etc it's started appearing in major aggregators of torrent sites right next to the piratebay links that don't work here anymore. and with an org.uk addy too.

I think another attempt at SOPA could be happening. Maria Pallante is due to testify about proposed changes to copyright law, and one of them apparently has to do with DNCA "safe harbors". To me, this means that there will be another attempt at SOPA.

At the very least, another attempt at the Commercial Felony Streaming Act could be in the words, since Pallante is one of the authors of the White Paper, two years ago, that resulted in such a bill be introduced in the Senate, though it never actually went anywhere, as is only got 2 consposors, unlike the 41 consponsors of PIPA, at its peak.

Maria Pallante sent mixed messages in her testimony on the Hill. On one hand, she wants a felony streaming law, but on the other had, she wants criminal piracy laws to only apply to large scale commercial operations.

I know that Amy Klobuchar tried to achieve this balance last year with her felony streaming law, that would not have criminalised either viewers, or those who did not make money form their streams, but the SOPA version of the felony streaming law did not make this distinction. So there is no telling what is going to happen with the next attempt at such a law.

Under this law, I, as one who only does it as a hobby not be criminalised, but a few commercial level streamers who post their streams here would.

    Interesting times lie ahead

Let see how many seizures will happen offshore now that a mass of documents 160 times bigger than wikileaks one has been partly published and is still studied!
