    Smile Football Match Day threads

Wouldn't it be a good idea to allow Fans/Supporters of teams involved, the chance to create a Matchday thread? at least up until the morning of a game, if not thread, then others could create one, not complaining, just a suggestion.

    *** Update by Admin ***

Lets start to work it out. See the rules for making threads @ http://forum.wiziwig.eu/threads/43633-Football-Rules . If anything has to be changed let us know. These rules have to be followed when you want to make a matchday thread. We aim for a proper layout for every game to make it easy for all fans to get all the information they're looking for.

Who's going to make the matchday threads? Please reply if you want to step up to make proper preview threads for specific matches of the teams you follow. This means you've to create the matchday threads at least 1 day before the specific match starts, but not earlier then 5 days before.
The Home Playing team fan gets the chance to create the preview, if there's no one listed of the specific home playing team to make a thread then someone from the away team listed can step up and do it.

A lot, people who follow and Support the clubs, don't just copy and paste every sentence from online sources, know the full name of the clubs, ie Wolverhampton Wanderers, not Wolverhampton, if people don't follow a certain club, why create one, just for a post count???

Tried to a few times, but others beat me to it, not just on morning of game, but sometimes 4-5 days before, not concerned, as in first post of thread, a suggestion.

How about if i started a thread with the headline Wanderers v City, would you know which two teams i would be on about?

Also, i think it was in the Rangers thread for the Europa league, thread starter posted a picture of Kenny Miller, who doesn't even play for the club anymore

Yes, but a follower of the club knows he left a while back, only pointing out that a non supporter wouldn't/doesn't know up to date squad info.

It's fine to me to discuss this again. The reason we made those rules was to get proper previews and just not people posting match threads without any info. Best would of course to get own previews so please go ahead and create them

Most of the threads are created when there isn't any up on the day itself or the day before. So still feel free to create a thread as described in the rules, if no fan does it then someone else creates it so there can at least be a discussion. If you want to bring up a proper preview and we got a thread already, then we can also put it into the First Post, or make it the FP. And I think when people see someone makes a proper preview thread for a specific team every week they will wait for that and let him make it everytime

I agree with sedgleywolf1 all though personally doesn't bother me. But i have noticed in past fans of the club/s on regular basis make the Football threads with alot of detail, and is enjoying checking it out.

Rather than someone just plonking 2 club logos and a shite preview from google

They seem to be starting even earlier, people seem to be in a rush to create them, 4/5 days before the game is abit silly.

Surely some sort of table in which a list of people can create the threads on the certain clubs works best. I.E

    sedgleywolf1: Wolves
    Uggla: Everton
    etc...

I am totally with sedgleywolf1 on this 1. It should be down to supporters of a club in question or (at least) to the people that have 'done their homework' to start a match day thread on here.
I have lots of info about Spurs but am ignorant on how to build a thread, lately on here seems to be the total opposite. A great number of people like to build a thread but have next to nothing of knowledge about the club in question. I say if you want to get up your post count, come into a thread and join in, otherwise leave whats best to the people with the knowledge.

It should be done by one person who supports that club and not someone who is doing it to get there post rate up.

Therefore we should have a type of mini mod who is assigned to each team. When they are at home they create the matchday thread and then the away info is added by that teams mod.
