Il leave it to you, im abit busy.

If Admin feel i'm going over old ground creating this thread ie this: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/threads/43630-Football-Rules, feel free to delete.
It's fine to me to discuss this again. The reason we made those rules was to get proper previews and just not people posting match threads without any info. Best would of course to get own previews so please go ahead and create them
Most of the threads are created when there isn't any up on the day itself or the day before. So still feel free to create a thread as described in the rules, if no fan does it then someone else creates it so there can at least be a discussion. If you want to bring up a proper preview and we got a thread already, then we can also put it into the First Post, or make it the FP. And I think when people see someone makes a proper preview thread for a specific team every week they will wait for that and let him make it everytime![]()

I agree with sedgleywolf1 all though personally doesn't bother me. But i have noticed in past fans of the club/s on regular basis make the Football threads with alot of detail, and is enjoying checking it out.
Rather than someone just plonking 2 club logos and a shite preview from google
They seem to be starting even earlier, people seem to be in a rush to create them, 4/5 days before the game is abit silly.
Surely some sort of table in which a list of people can create the threads on the certain clubs works best. I.E
sedgleywolf1: Wolves
Uggla: Everton
etc...

I am totally with sedgleywolf1 on this 1. It should be down to supporters of a club in question or (at least) to the people that have 'done their homework' to start a match day thread on here.
I have lots of info about Spurs but am ignorant on how to build a thread, lately on here seems to be the total opposite. A great number of people like to build a thread but have next to nothing of knowledge about the club in question. I say if you want to get up your post count, come into a thread and join in, otherwise leave whats best to the people with the knowledge.

It should be done by one person who supports that club and not someone who is doing it to get there post rate up.
Therefore we should have a type of mini mod who is assigned to each team. When they are at home they create the matchday thread and then the away info is added by that teams mod.

Iam glad this has been brought up and never noticed this before.
Sedgley I know what you mean mate. End of last year I spent a fair bit of time making threads for Everton games, usually at least 2 days in advance. There are a few regular streamers that do bulk thread creation, and it's much appreciated. However, sometimes certain games get forgotten in a league weekend, and supporters doing it does result in some games not having threads. So there's an argument both ways..
One thing that does bother me is that despite each of the matchday thread forums having this great sticky from Ben threads don't always follow the rules. Each of us has different standards of thread creation - which is not to say that any poster's choice is wrong, but it does lead to things such as lack of proper titles, etc. I've seen a few of my threads renamed AWAY from the format indicated in Ben's post.
Perhaps instead of having rules, we could all chuck in to making a guide for willing thread creators? A common format, agreed upon 'rules' such as using full names, and a breakdown of what should be in the opening post? We could include a list of common websites for obtaining up to date info and graphics? For example there are a handful of sites I use for obtaining text and graphics rather than writing it myself, but I don't just blindly copy and paste, I apply my knowledge of my club and cross reference.
I remember a couple of times I created a thread for other teams matches on a Saturday when no-one had done so just before kick off - as I said earlier there are some teams without the regular user following that miss out, so when the likes of azports, Premiergames and Londoner go on mass thread posting missions it is helpful to other supporters who aren't as active in this little community.
edit: i like the mini-mod idea! I know in our team threads we've had discussions about who is creating the matchday thread - is that just us?

What about we start a thread in http://www.myp2pforum.eu/forums/53-Football-Chat ? And we discuss there who makes the previews for each team. If it doesnt done 1 day before (24h before a game starts), then someone else can create it (where we also specify WHO makes it then).
That way we get threads in the same layout, with all usefull info, as there are specific people who make these for each team, and if there's no fan who wants to we got some others who then make the threads?![]()

I will take a back seat from creating match day threads as i think im prob one of the main culprits in the creating match day threads and will just stick to doing tottenham threads from now on unless as has been stated a thread has not been posted close to kick off.
@ londoner , It seems there is only myself and DMW who are really into Sunderland AFC . I like to see your match day threads and I know that DMW has also started threads . Maybe if DMW has not started a thread by a.m of match you could poss do SAFC .... Or sort it out between yourselves ........ Just a thought .
