I am back on the Kindle, I have 90% made my mind to buy one, Its the little things I want to know about IE when you read a page and want to close the book you use a book marker what do you use on the kindle? , do they supply the leads to connect to the PC? .stuff like that

You don't need to do anything, when you turn off the kindle (and you won't need to do it often, mine only goes off if I forget to charge it for a couple of weeks) it saves the page you were last on in your book, that happens if you go to the menu screen or start another book as well (it will save up to the last read page on all the books you've opened, not just one.)

The bookmarks and highlights are more for coming back to certain pages/sections of the books, and if you're sharing across different platforms (i.e the mobile/ipad/etc apps)

You don't really shut it down, you put it on "hold" it uses no power in this mode and it will come back on whatever you were on last (page or menu screen)

It takes ages for the battery to run out, I only charge mine every few weeks even with regular use.

In the box you get a booklet, usb lead and a plug to connect to the USB lead to charge if you're not using a computer. Mine came all setup out of the box, didn't need to enter username or account details. Not sure if it works the same when you buy from other than Amazon though but It's not difficult.

Will this de-install all my files and must i copy it onto cd or dvd (even though i dont know how to do it,lol (ish)).

1. Download Windows XP Pro its a iso(International Organization for Standardization) other words a Disk Image...
2. Download ImgBurn and install.
3. Put a blank CD into your disk tray.
4. Run ImgBurn and click Write image file to disk
5. Click File --> Browse for a source file...(You are looking for the Windows XP Pro iso you just downloaded).
6. Click Write and let it finish.
7. Reboot PC with the CD you just burned still in the drive.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to re-install Windows XP Pro. <-- Would be a good idea here to set your main language to English and German can be the 2nd.
