i have the same problem i tried to reinsatll and did not work

i had the same problem a while back and it really got on my nerves.one minute it was working the next i had the same problem as you. i cant remember what i was doing but i realized what i had done must of affected tv ants in some way.the only advice i can only give is to restore the computer back to factory settings. please do that as last resort as it was in my case.sorry i cant be help but i hope you resolve the problem without taking my advice.

i wanted to start it a baseball stream on the tvants, but does not start it the buffering and does not find channels

I seem to have a problem in that most streams won't play. They buffer OK then I get a pop-up which reads:

"Sorry, TVAnts failed to play the channel within the internal player after several attempts.
Would you like to try the system default player?

Possible reasons and solutions (visit TVANTS p2p Á÷ýÌå¼ÓËÙÒýÇæ for more.):
Reason: The half-open TCP limitation is reached on Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2003 SP1.
Solution: Please enlarge the limitation for better connection capacity and traffic throughput.

Reason: Incorrectly injected Winsock LSPs (e.g. Internet Download Manager (IDM) with advanced integration enabled) blocks TCP communications.
Solution: Clear the suspicious Winsock LSPs by Internet Security Tools or disable the related software functions."

I have no idea where to even begin. Can anyone help me please?

Ok first off you need the TCP/IP half open connections patch you can find it at the main P2P page MyP2P.eu :: Free Live Sports on your PC, Live Football, MLB, NBA, NHL and more...

Ok the second thing is a bit more troubling. Sounds like you got something wrong with your LSPs, NOT a good thing. Please run SpyBot Search and Destroy, and Adaware, 2 well known anti spyware programs. You should also get the LSP fix Adaware plug in. Sounds like you have a spyware infection.

Do you have the LSP fix plug in for Adaware? Try running that. Are you on Vista? Sounds like you are XP, but if you are on Vista it's near impossible to run the TCP/IP patch.

I run XP () with the 2008 free version of Adaware . It doesn't have the plug-in.
What about the "LSP Fix" software?

Fishbone, did you ever get the problem solved? I am having the same problem and have tried all the things PK said to do, except for the adaware patch which i cannot find. So if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I'm also having the same problem with TVAnts... Especially when it links to WMP, which, also does not work here in the embedded version on the TV section. Just loads up, then say's ready and NOTHING.

Any help would be appreciated!

rolled back to SP2 as well...to see if that was the issue..but it was not....

That's strange, you're sure your connections are still on 50? As 50 or more connections with WMP10 + XP should load every channel. try it again, what does happen on the channel? Still the yes/no message?
