    Updated "tvmaster's" RTMP US Script. (Sept. 25th)

    Sorry No Updates Yet

    I also added a hidden feature to the script (some of you may have found it in the last update and wondered it's purpose.)
    well it is incomplete right now but it's purpose is to check all the streams listed (see what works or is down) without having to type each stream #.
    This will be for the benefit of anyone wanting to check for down streams (you can try it out, but the ability to log the down streams has not been added to the script as yet) just type 01234 and press enter (close vlc to move to next stream, etc. you will need to close the script to stop this feature - like I said it's incomplete)

    Anyone who wants to help update the streams, can update the links in the script also, And re-post it
    You don't need to do all that is down, just what you like and may have or know where to find us streams, or a substitute that is in english. (no streams with tokens etc. in it) please.

    Cool Lets make this easy for people who cant get this to work

    This is tested on Windows XP but will also work on Vista & 7.

    1. Download tvmaster's RTMP Streaming US.zip the zip contains flv.exe, rtmpdump.exe & US.bat.

    2. Extract those 3 files into your VLC folder using winrar, winzip, 7zip etc...
    Code:
    C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC

    3. Right click on US.bat and choose Send To --> Desktop (create shortcut).

    4. Now on your Desktop you will have a new shortcut to US.bat...

    Right click it and rename it anything you like i named mine US TV.

    5. Right click it again and choose Properties and click the button Change Icon...

    A new message box pops up and click Ok...

    6. Now its up to you to pick a new icon from either the System icons or pick your own using the Browse... button. I picked my own from Here because i find the System icons boring.

    For System icon pick icon --> Ok --> Apply --> Ok.
    For own icon Browse --> Open --> Ok --> Apply --> Ok.

    7. Double click your new icon on your Desktop...

    8. Enjoy and wasn't that easy...

    Note: If you are running VLC version 1.1.9 or 1.1.10 this may not work so you may need to downgrade to a earlier version i recommend version 1.1.7.

    If ever a password is needed in any of my or other users uploads try myp2p, Myp2p or wiziwig.

    Nice one, tvmaster

    Here are 16 more US ones for you to cut and paste into your box.

    MoreUS.txt

    There are a couple of things with the code, that you might like explained.

    In this section:
    Code:
    echo.
    set "vlc=c:\progra~1\videolan\vlc\vlc"
    :set "vlc=c:\progra~2\videolan\vlc\vlc"
    set /p "Choice=>"
    The 2nd ' :set ' part is unecessary and can be deleted, so it should read:
    Code:
    echo.
    set "vlc=c:\progra~1\videolan\vlc\vlc"
    set /p "Choice=>"
    Also, you don't necessarily have to create a 'set' path at all, you can just stipulate where the player is at the end of the rtmpdump line. So, instead of using %vlc% - , you could use: c:\progra~1\videolan\vlc\vlc -
    I do, however, use a set path, and all my streams have the %vlc% command, though I have left the SyFy with the other version, so as to give you an example.

    The box is no longer a sports only box, so you might want to change the ' title ' from
    ' RTMP Streaming Sports ' to ' RTMP US TV ', or whatever you fancy.

    As you'll notice, the new streams don't use the ' echo Streaming is starting...... ' line, I've changed them to something a little more informative, in: echo The XXXX stream is starting... Close vlc to return to the menu.
    You can put whatever you like here, as long as it isn't too long, as it'll wrap down to the next line.

    Have fun

    That is a comment but should really be "::" and not ":" even though it still works or you could just use "REM" and its there for people to change to if they are running a 64bit system...

    Code:
    echo.
    set "vlc=c:\progra~1\videolan\vlc\vlc"
    :: set "vlc=c:\progra~2\videolan\vlc\vlc" 64bit system

    Code:
    echo.
    :: set "vlc=c:\progra~1\videolan\vlc\vlc" 32bit System
    set "vlc=c:\progra~2\videolan\vlc\vlc"

    Ah, 64 bit, hmmm, if only.

    Thanks bud, you live and learn (hopefully). Will keep that in mind when I do my next box. Is that the only piece of syntax needed to make the file 64bit compatible?
