You managed to get it working already? Maybe it was a channel error?

hi. I followed all the steps given above.

Using advanced uninstaller to uninstall completely vlc and sopcast.
Install vlc 1.1.6 and sopcast 3.3.2, in Window 7.

Sopcast remains black when I write in a channel before. so i use vlc as the external players exactly as the instruction.

But when I open vlc, i get the
    "Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://127.0.0.1:8902/'."

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot

I tried with all the channel, but none of them work! this problem just happens recently....

Originally, the screen went black.. and when I integrate it with vlc, vlc did not really work...

How about running sopcast with the channel still running open VLC goto Media --> Open Network Stream Paste in http://127.0.0.1:8902 and hit play.

When i mean open VLC i mean from "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" or the shortcut on your Desktop.

    Hi,

I tried that. Same thing come up...

    "Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://127.0.0.1:8902/'."

I don't understand why. I add it to allowed program in firewall. Everything works fine before. Just when sopcast gets black screen...

First, make sure that you don't have the bugged 1.1.9 version. Either downgrade to 1.1.8, or get the fixed nighly from here.

Cheers for your reply wired, I don't have sopfilter installed. Where can I find it? on the page you suggested to me it says go to here:http://www.easetuner.com/
All I can find there in the downloads section is soplayer and sopcast downloads.

EDIT: Ignore the last part, found it mate...

Still saying "Successfully completed refreshing http://127.0.0.1:8902" but not actually starting. I am using it with Tversity, is there a way of streaming direct to my media player?

Oh, I see. I thought you were just trying to open Sop in WMP. My bad.

There's a little thread on TVersity here. Maybe that helps...

    Follow these steps:

    1 - Install SopCast

    2 - Install VideoLAN - VLC media player http://www.videolan.org

3 - Open SopCast and select the channel. Wait for SopCast to show the channel

4 - Open VLC with this command line:
    "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.asf --sout "#std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=:1234}"

5 - Go to TVersity and add that Video URL mms://127.0.0.1:1234
Say NO to Ads on streams & Stop the Virus/Malware Alerts.

If ever a password is needed in any of my or other users uploads try myp2p, Myp2p or wiziwig.
