    Default wtf

The last few times (going back several months) I've tried to watch any rugby union it just won't work. I keep getting "sever not found..." No matter what link I try, it's the same. Annoyingly the adverts always work, just not the games. I've tried every browser under the sun, tried updating flash, etc, etc. I'm in Canberra Australia, with TPG. Also, last night, the advert showing on the all blacks/wallabies game I would consider "kiddy porn". (Yeah she had boobs, but everything else about her looked like a 12 year old.) - This "pedo porn" was on the global sports link. I made comments about this during the 1st half of the game (that I couldn't watch) and got ignored. Is no one else here infuriated by this???? I would suggest that you add a new rule "links that show what appears to be porn featuring what appears to be CHILDREN will not be tolerated."

What you say is total rubbish, as I was able to watch every match I want with links from here.
Maybe it depends on your abilities or computer settings that is wasn't successful for you.

During a short blackout of the stream where I watched Tri Nations yesterday I switched to global sports and I was able to watch Australia playing New Zealand. and nothing else.

Maybe you are just a troll who likes to discredit the streamers and the board.

    Total rubbish? Abilities and settings?

I wasn't talking about YOUR ability to watch every game. For the record I've been using p2p sites to watch sport since the last rugby world cup. I've been a member of Myp2p for years. I've watched dozens of rugby games previously through Myp2p, and helped promote the site. My troubles started a few months back, and seem very specific with regards to watching rugby union on the various flash-supported links. It's always the same, all the adverts play perfectly well, and then the game video gives the "server not found..." response.

The second part of my post - completely ignored by you - concerned porn advertising on the globalsports link (in last nights ab/wallabies game) featuring - what appeared to me - to be an underage girl.

If this board doesn't give a sh** about "pedo porn" being promoted through links to sporting events, or doesn't want to help me solve the issue I have with watching live sports, then you don't really need any discrediting from me.

flash servers are generally overloaded with the footy matches at weekends.. if your rugby game collide with those footy matches, it could give you connection errors , crap streaming or overload issues due to the platform in use at the time.

but yesterday Aus vs Nz game was earlier than football matches and i watched it cleary as well. there were another smooth links apart from globalsport tho.

i should think about stream hack for the porn issue. maybe someone got the streamer's channel rtmp and played some thing else behind , actually they prefer this way to advertise their site.

It wasn't a video advert, it was a still image of a (very) young girl promoting some porno/find-a-f-buddy/etc site. Not sure, cause I didn't click on it to find out. It's similar in format to the other adverts you can see if you go to the link and refresh. It's not there now though.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one who noticed the ad last night. No other ad was shown, just this constant porno image of a VERY young girl (apart from the large boobs. Is that how they get away with arguing she's of legal age???) It was truly disgusting. I guess though if the game actually started playing, the ad wouldn't have been up long...so to be fair, maybe it's understandable people ignored me when I complained about it in the chat.

However, getting back to my p2p issues, when there are video adverts, as with some of the other links last night, and on previous occasions, they play 100% perfectly well. But when the game video attempts to connect, "server not found...". I'm pretty sure TPG is not blocking, they're a pretty good and reliable ISP. I've been using Myp2p for a long time, never had these issues. And it's every fricken rugby union link. All of them.

ok lob , what was the player name you saw those images on ?.. we can report the problem to them.
probably their ads network scammed with illegal ads by auto-approving them before check.

maybe it's understandable people ignored me when I complained about it in the chat.
maybe site admin wasn't there to manage the things , don't mind the boosters in chatbox if they found this funny and grated your nerves

surely there will be good tomorrows

so those transmission breaks and crap ads come through with vstream.eu platform , not directly from globalsports.
i will report the porn ads to them and if it continues to be a problem; admin or mods would bring vstream to the rubbish bin.

and yes wiziwig (myp2p) do not allow any kind of adult content in any way.

    good day.

(edit: there is vstream player atm but better make sure before we are reporting what player it was during the game)

lob: I've tried to help you in the chat so don't start saying that the streamer ignored you. I just hope that you improve your language otherwise we've to say goodbye. The problem is clearly on your end and we do want to help people who are respectful but won't spend much time on people like you.

Regarding the ads, This is something which I do not provide but comes with the videoplayer. These ads never came up when I tested it but they are geographically so could be that they come up in Australia. Next time it comes up please make a picture of the screen so that we can confront them.

Hopefully you're prepared to change your tone and we can help you further.

I made that comment in relation to the ad...I kind of thought I'd get some response regarding it's "inappropriateness" ....nothing. But I've subsequently realized you all were actually watching the rugby, whereas I was stuck with the image of, what could only be described as, 'a half-naked 12 year old with photoshoped big boobs.' But, yeah, Chrizzzie, you did try to help in relation to my constant "server not found..." issue...unlike blackpudding (and his, er, somewhat helpful post above.) You also tried to help via chat a few months back when I had the same issues. Hasn't been sorted since then. Just won't work. Weird 'cause Justin TV worked perfectly for the second half of the game. I would like to get this sorted before the world cup starts. Are you suggesting my tone could be causing these technical problems...

It's not clearly at my end. As I said I watched most of the second half of the game on Justin TV. Also I just checked out the "sunday" links, and they play perfectly well. The video at *********** is playing right now, perfectly well...some English nobs on Sky sitting on a couch rambling on about soccer or something. I reckon it's the way the Rugby stream has been setup at your end. Are there any other people from my neck of the woods (Australia) able to pick up the stream??? Or is this just a little cosy sports club for stuck up types from the UK and Europe? Jesus, they've actually stopped chatting and some soccer has started. Er, sorry, Football. <yawn>

btw I particularly liked the "...people like me." bit.

Let's try and turn this into a positive

Regarding the ads, my reccomendation is that you watch Flash streams using Firefox Browser with the Adblock Plus add-on installed. I watched some of the AUS/NZ game on both Globalsports and livesoccer, and never saw a single ad.

Regarding the quality of the stream, maybe you could check that you have the latest Flash version, including the plug-in appropriate to the browser.

Regarding viewing the World Cup, probably Flash will get so heavily banned for copyright issues that P2P (Sopcast or StreamTorrent) will be the only way to see a decent stream.

In your first post you say "No matter what link I try" and now you're saying that there are links that work for you?

Please let us know the following:
    * Which streams do not work for you?
    * Can you show pictures what you get instead?
    * Which browsers have you tried?
    * What are the specs of your computer?
    * Which version of Adobe flash player do you run?

If other people can watch my stream and you can not than YES the problem is on your end and that is what we will have to look at.

Also Big Mac has a point as probably flash streams will all be banned for RWC. I for at least will show the streams on Sopcast so make sure this works for you.

One final thing. I have the idea that you forget that these streams are provided by individual volunteers who put a lot of work in providing these. We do would like to help viewers but also expect them to to this in a respectful way.

Yeah, no matter what links I try in relation to RUGBY UNION the only game that really matters [though gridiron is good...much better than ****ing league. How dare they even place rugby in front of it.]

I've only had this problem with the rugby union links. I know that is weird. That is why I've been posting numerous times in the chat, and now here. To be honest, when I checked out some of the soccer games using flash - in my last post - that was the first time I'd every tried any other flash links, and yeah, they work perfectly...just not rugby union. Also, never had any major problems with the software links, though stream torrent can be slow to get going. Hate flash anyways, Jobs was right yet again.

If I go into a store and most the stuff is easily accessible for shoplifting, but there's some expensive wine locked in a cabinet, is the problem at My End or the Shop? I'd say the shop. People like me eh : )

In regards to the inappropriate ads, just ban all porn outright. Do you guys want this site to be a viable alternative for everyone to watch sports or just "blokes" (most of whom seem immune to porn images for some reason.) I'm no prude, and I personally don't care if women are shown half (or fully) naked. However, the porn industry as of late has been peddling pedo porn in two forms: (i) mature women dressed up as little girls, and - more disturbingly - (ii) girls who may be, just, legal but look very young for their age. These images crop up a lot on torrent sites also. Unfortunately I LIKE SPORT but HATE Murdoch (in relation to his vast media ownership, his racist right wing agenda - Fox. His son James is a complete turd also....) so I get most of my media via downloading torrents, p2p, and a few online video sites. Really, it's up to the site administrators here to do something, not just say "it's out of our hands, make a complaint if you see an individual case..."

btw No I haven't forgotten how wonderful you people are for providing this wonderful service. Where's a link so I can send you a nice eCard or something with lots of pretty flowers and things on it....

My desktop system if a shitty dell that's 6 years old. Dual core Pent at 3ghz. I can't be bothered updating it because it still works, and unlike my laptop (fairly new thinkpad running windows 7) I feel better leaving it on all the time. I use Tversity to send most stuff to the TV, but mostly use dual monitor mode for online streams (as Tversity can be a pain to configure). - Just use a cordless mouse. A couple of years ago I was in Adelaide visiting friends [yeah, even people like me have friends. Ok, to be honest, it was one of my wife's colleagues through her work. Still...] and I mentioned Myp2p and that a rugby game was on. Managed to hook my 4g Eeee PC (linux) to their projector and watch a rugby game. Played really well - through wifi, even I was surprised.
Yeah, next rugby game that's on, I'll post some pics.

tried all of them. I mostly use firefox though.

rugby union streams don't work. rugby union streams don't work. rugby union streams don't work. rugby union streams don't work. x1000

I'll post some pics here of the "sever not found..." message that always appears at the next scheduled rugby union game.

We have very strict rules in regards to betting ads and adult (porn) ads. However since the ad came from the video player and not the website we need screenshots of the ad and the logo of the videoplayer so that something can be done as most of these services use ad networks that use geolocation to target the end user so the ad you see may not be the same as the ad that someone else may see.

I couldn't find a good eCard with enough pretty flowers to express my gratitude. Will this song "Chrizzzie Streams Rugby" suffice??
