At the moment we're experiencing some issues with the forum, as it's running slower as usual and we're seeing some massive amounts of connections coming from specific ip's. Looks like some sort of ddos attacks. We hope it stops soon so you can enjoy the forum as usual

Which post(s) on that page are pointing to that website (dhforo) ? Did a quick look-through, but couldn't find it. I am also seeing that it has been reported as an attack page & is being blocked.

That seems to be ok but the main address
http://www.dhforo.com redirects to http://www.perugg.com that may have some malware.

Whenever I go onto a football streaming link I first get up a box telling me i need a plug-in to watch the video. i am loath to download and anyway after a few seconds i get the main picture ok.
i believe these are from ilivid or imesh.
should i just ignore or is there a benefit in upgrading ?

Users don't have permission to send pm's as it has been abused for spam, so that's why you can only receive pm's from an admin or moderator. If you want to reply to such a pm, simply click the report button in that message.

And again - I do not understand why pm's are blocked? The messageboard I run has had very few pm abuses in the 10 years since I started it - and that is with a registered members list of over 3.000 people. The few time the system has been abused, the offenders have been dealt with.
So simple to control. Someone gets abusive or sends spam, by p.m. - the recipient reports it to admin - admin warns or even bans the culprit.
Anyone who posts regularly on here and has a certain post count tally, should be allowed to pm others who have the same status and above. Would make life SO much easier, rather than clogging up the forums with questions to specific posters.
I am sure when I started on this board, that once a poster reached "Senior Member" status, that pm's were made available? Maybe try that again, as an experiment?

We understand your question but as you noticed probably we got a lot of spammers and also inactive users who would be willing to abuse this pm system as soon as it's available. That's just the reason we don't allow it. We don't feel like anything should be hidden so that's another reason pm's shouldn't be needed.

i think its will be better .. members dont be needed refresh the page for see if have any new post

Thanks for the info. I understand, but every mod or script we add makes our forum slower and more heavy, especially on peak times. So we try to keep it as simple as possible. It sounds nice, but could also make things slower, and stats are only nice as info but don't add that much for the user who wants to find links and stuff.
