Went to see it 2 weeks ago with the wife. ( We was originally going to play poker at the casino, but that's another story ).

Really enjoyed this film, although I've no idea why they bothered doing it in 3D. I'll have to watch it again to fully understand the whole story, though I'd watch it again anyway . Special effects was fantastic, and I would say there maybe a follow on, (hope so anyway).

Well worth going to see IMO.

It's in 2D also. So would imagine it will be the same for DVD.

I watched a movie called Cleanskin last night. A gritty English film about terrorists/suicide bombers in London starring a very violent Sean Bean. Grimmer than a wed Wednesday afternoon in Coventry (or any day in Coventry for that matter) but entertaining if you a depressive miserable old sod like yours truely. I didn't go to bed wanting to make love to my wife. I wanted to go back out, pour petrol over someone, kick their head in,slit their throats and set them on fire! Blame Sean Bean!

I watched Shooter on telly last night again..I wish I had the know how to make napalm and explosives out of stuff you buy in shops. If I did, the asshats at my local bank would be crapping themselves for dissing me with their superior attitude when I ask for help and I'd have the money back they have "legally" ripped off me for the past 10 years. KABOOM!
Slitting throats could enter into it as well

Was gonna ask if it's anygood. Sounds a bit like Paranormal Activity made out to be scarier than it actually is.

Know what you mean about preferring English films. I watched that Cleanskins and thought it was pretty good. Especially the part where the news was doing interviews, and on the info bar that runs at the bottom of the screen read...... "Spurs Win Champions League Final" ....Made me chuckle.

And I watched Unthinkable last night on a web link. Only thing is. At the end, Agent Brody comes out of the holding place with the 2 kids...... Then the credits rolled ..... Where was the rest of the ending? It didn't show the Finale I remember when I first watched it. Pissed me right off.

I watched that last night HurtLocker. I thought it was a tad disappointing to be honest. Same old same old.

Oh boy. I've seen a lot of films, so many that even some of the ones I like, I've forgotten the titles of. Drama to action, comedy to weird, Ive seen a lot.

But.... Nothing has disturbed me in quite sometime like the Human Centipede did. Not since "Night of the Demon" creature flails intestines at one point, or "Street Trash", I'll let you do your own research on that one, did a movie nearly make me ill.

"Feeed her, yes, feeed her." Ugh!

So, Human Centipede aside 'shudder', some films I've seen recently, or somewhat recently, or revisited and enjoyed:

Take shelter - It may be a bit slow for some. A psychological thriller, but the scene at the dinner hall is fantastic.
Elephant Man - A David Lynch classic. "I am not an animal!"
Warrior - Fight scenes a bit unrealistic, but the sub plots are very well done, especially the father / son conflict.
Slap shot - If you like hockey and haven't seen this film, you may not be a real fan.
Tampopo - Asain film about ramen. Yes, ramen. You better not be hungry when you watch this one. Food porn at its best!
