Love Dos Santos but the Reem is just a more complete stand up guy. Dos Santos says he has BJJ but hasn't needed it. I am banking the fact that he is so comfortable now stanidng that his BJJ MAY be good in the gym, but he isn't taking the Reem down and Alistiar will be able to kick and knee him into la la land.

Overeem, has a glass jaw, just watch when he fought Chuck in Pride. The only thing JDS has to do is hit it and Overeem will crumble to the floor.

I dont buy into the "glass jaw" talk when someone loses by knockout. Esp. when that someone i fighting at over 200 lbs. Most of the knock out loses he has were against huge punchers like Chuck. Look at when Badr Hari "koed" him. He got high kicked so freaking heard and actually leaned into it, but he didnt get dropped. He was called out because of K-1 rules and since he grabbed the rope to hold himself up it is considered a knock down. JDS will have much more than usual to deal with. Overeem can and will kick the crap out of his legs and he will lose movement. JDS showed he has trouble sometimes finishing a hurt opponent. Sure he cruched Cain, but Carwin, and Roy lasted and were hurt badly. I can't wiat either wy, and both guys are world class in and out of the ring so who cares! Gonna be a war! I was actually gonna go to this event but they switched all the UFcs around. Now gay Jones vs Evans is in atlanta and that was the only way I could go..close to home. Ok, lets take a look at Overeems loses starting with Ckuck Liddell. Now take into consideration Overeem cut a tremendous amount of weight to fight as a Light Heavyweight so in all honesty he was bigger than most of his opponents come fight time. We already know he was KO'd by Liddell so here's the rest.
Lost by decision to Little Nog.
Lost by TKO to Shogun Rua.
Lost to Werdum by submission (yes he avenged that loss in Strikeforce but I was not impressed with his performance)
Lost again to Little Nog this time by TKO
Lost to Arona by submission to punches (he quit)
Lost again to Shogun Rua this time by KO
Lost to Sergei Kharitonov by KO

Lots of KO loses to mostly guys that were smaller than he was.

Lets take a look at his notable wins.

Vitor Belfort by submission
Igor Vovchanchyn by submission
Sergei Kharitonov by TKO (as you can see above Sergei avenged that loss)
Again beat Vitor Belfort but it went the distance
Werdum by Decision (and Overeem was gassed in that fight)
Brock Lesnar by TKO (but honestly Lesnar was all UFC hype and really should've never been in the top 10 to begin with.

Not a very impressive record even though he fought a lot of no names in between his wins and loses. I still say JDS will KO Overeem in the second round. In any case that PPV will be a good 1 as it is loaded with big heavyweights.

I agree with one thing...PPV will be the bomb! Brock was a UFC champ so how is he hyped? I knwo people basicly were falling over themselves to worship him, but he was a champ so it is a good win for the REEM. You forgot to mention that Overeem has hardly lost at heavyweight and he came back to win the K-1 after the Hari KO. He has a ton of heart, and he in a lot of losees wasn't as sharp as he is now. In the second Werdum fight he claimed to have injuries but we will never know. All I can say is I can't freaking wait, and it's about time the UFC got some real heavyweights....I never thought hte UFC had jack until now. JDS is the man, and I really dont care if he wins because I am a boxer and of course I go with what I love. I trained muay thai under Denis the Huricane Lane (k-1 fighter...youtube him...you can find his lose to the legend Hug) so I love the Reem too.

Every UFC Champ has been hyped up way to high. If they want to be the true champ they should have to fight the champs in other organizations but as we all know Dana would never do that. When Overeem was champ in Strikeforce before Zuffa bought them Dana said Overeem was over hyped and couldn't beat anyone in the UFC. At that time Overeem wasn't even in the top 10 in rankings, 1 fight in the UFC certainly changed all that. I do like the way that Overeem fights its amazing watching a big guy like him really driving those knees into his opponents. Still doesn't change he has a glass jaw and that's a weakness he can never get rid of along with his bad cardio.
Can't wait to see this fight!

Stan you said it best! Overeems cardio is crap, and I agree with you so much on the UFC hyping up their fighters and dissing any other org. Pride was the best at one time, bellator has great guys, strikeforce has great guys, and if (this is a BIG IF) Dana could afford to pay some REAL money to these guys then maybe just maybe some top level prime boxers (not fat old and despreate Toney tomato cans) will come over to test out the MMA world. I understand that boxers make way to much to risk a permenant injury making 10 times less. Thoughts?

Totally agree with you!! Pride was the absolute best. UFC fighters should get paid more than what they do considering how much money the UFC has rolling in. I don't think we will ever see top level boxers coming into MMA unless the pay increases ten fold. If you match them against a world class wrestler its over for the boxer yet if you matched them against a stand up fighter you would see a different outcome. The Toney/Couture fight was a joke.

The only way I can see this being AS exciting is IF they somehow save the fight (doubt it) or a mircale happens and they bring in Fedor..(doubt it and JDS will smoke him probably.)

I believe Dana will move Mir up for the title shot which is something I don't want to see as JDS will KO him in the first round. I would like to see Fedor and i believe that would be a close fight as Fedor has learned a lesson(not to rush it) from his 3 loses. I also wouldn't mind seeing Lesnar fight for the title considering Overeem was probably juicing for that fight. It would make for an interesting fight.
These guys that get caught juicing should just be tossed out of MMA for life. It would stop the rampant use of performance enhancing drugs in the fight game. I'm sure around 40% of all fighters in MMA are juicing. They all need to be randomly tested whenever the fight commission wants without warning.

I was going to say I think over 70% in all sports at the top level juice at times. Overeem, probably a lot more than that! LOL. Lesnar is shot, and making 10X the money in WWE now. Dana would have to give Fedor a blow job at this point to get him in because of all the smack he has continulessly talked through the years. He also did the same to Overeem. Dana White is a douche bag, and I would love to see him in celeberty boxing.

Yes I was low balling my 40% but in all honesty probably 50 - 60 % probably take performance enhancing drugs. Well Overeem has 2 weeks before he appears in front to the NSAC to plead his case. The stories about PED's coming from fighters in the sport are really eye opening. I've talked to Matt Serra since he has his school not to far from where I live and I respect what he has to say.
