As I said, or at least meant to say, I'm hoping for a comfortable lead so we can give some players match-training. If you consider my comments smugness instead of everlasting unprecedented optimism, so be it. As for the rest of what u say, you're right, it probably won't be an easy match.

Torres goal was wicked but apart from that and a couple of other chances and some indivdual skill and good play by some players we where poor. The marking in the box when Middlesborough scored was terrible how he manged to get past hypia and slide in I dont know. Untiel Torres goal we was on the back foot with them dominating the match and reina making mistakes.

Postives though I think is when Babel came on in the second half he played good and had a lot of near shots and even created some chances. As for Gerrard he played ok sometimes but sometimes he was a bit poor aswell. Rise benyoun etc didn't play that well also I thought anyway the fact of the day is the scoreline 1-1 which isnt gonna win us the prem we need all 3 points from games like this.

i was going to ask everyone how much longer you think benitez has a job. after these past 3-4 performances, i don't think he'll last till the end of the season, tbh.

i think the problem i have is that as a reds fan i've come to expect a certain level of play from everyone on the pitch. yes, gerrard has saved out backsides in the past, but others have taken up the slack. now, i don't know who is that magic man for us. yes, torres scored a nice one, but only in that play did i feel confident that a)he wasn't offside b) he wouldn't just give the ball away and c) he wouldn't shoot from 50m away in the hope it would go in.

gerrard looked ok at best, but it seemed most everyone was giving the ball away cheaply at some point. in defense we need help. how the hell did so many defenders manage to be in the wrong place on the boro goal? and reina just flapped his hands in the wind on that cross.

boro fans, you were cheated. you deserved all the points in this one.

Yes I agree Liverpool give the ball away a lot Rise does it all the time he should go I think he has been a great player for us but nowadays he is shit. Gerrard did play good today but did give the ball away sometimes and occasionally was a bit poor but mosto f the time he was good.

Liverpoolfootiefan I will give Benitez to the end of the season to see if he can win use Fa Cup or Champs League and if he doesnt sack him. If we get rid of him now I dont think we will ahve a chance of winning many games due to the fact that new manager starting from fresh etc.

I think it is down to that coach aswell leaving because at the begining of the season when we had him we was playing amazing 6-0 against Derby etc but after the Derby game 6-0 win when he left we have dropped and benitez isnt helping matters. I think something has got to be changed we can't go on like this.

after watching manchester u maul newcastle today [granted, it was manu and their mediocre games are other teams best games] , i agree that it would cause all sorts of havoc to switch managers mid-season but it is so hard to watch the team play lately.

the next test will be how we do against luton at anfield. luton deserved the point even if we did score for them.
