Default Stream Torrent does not connect...Net state not connected...

    Hi,

I followed the instructions given here, http://forum.wiziwig.eu/announcement.php?f=54 quite a few times, and tried out most of the fixes, but i still get a cross alongside the ST icon on the right hand corner...and onhovering over it, it says Net State, not connected....
I am running XP with AVG anti virus(which i disabled) but it doesn't seem to work..

Can anyone help me out run the StreamTorrent...

    Thanks

It looks like when i replace the Stream Torrent folder specified in the above link to C:\Documents and Settings\$User\Application Data\, and when i restart the Stream Torrent, the file kn.dat gets replaced by the original file(probably the wrong one)
So, the original kn.dat file is 75 KB, and when i replace the Stream Torrent folder, it becomes 83 KB, but when i start the Stream Torrent, it again becomes 75 KB, so probably its being replaced....not sure why is that and what to do...

Shouldn't be an AVG issue, but more a firewall issue blocking it. So, unless you're running the full AVG security suite w/firewall, check your Win firewall exceptions to make sure streamtorrent.exe is being allowed. Also assuming you are on a home network. Many public networks, like work places & schools block it. How long did you let it run? Sometimes on first use, could take ~ 1hr for it to establish a connection & for the X to go away.

    Thanks icerefjm1,

I let it run only for about 10-15 mins...
i am on home network, and you are right, the AVG does not have the firewall with it, and i had added the win firewall to allow streamtorrent.exe to access internet.. and just restarted the streamtorrent...
It still shows X and without any sign of activity, i will let it run for a couple of hours or more and see if the problem goes away..

Default Cannot make stream torrent to work..

    Hi,

I am not able to make stream torrent work.

After installing Stream Torrent NT, I get the x on the system tray meaning its not connected to internet.

I was following the link http://forum.wiziwig.eu/threads/51926-StreamTorrent-NE and it mentions this problem.

The above link mentions that the solution of this problem was posted on myp2p.eu but the link is no longer active. This is the link http://www.myp2pforum.eu/announcement.php?f=54

Can someone send me the details of that link?

    Thanks

You don't have to use Streamtorrent NT, there is a newer version (Build 0078). Follow this thread for download and installing: http://forum.wiziwig.eu/announcement.php?f=54
    Hope it works.

I merged your 2 threads together to avoid confusion. As of now, there are 2 or 3 active threads going with the same issue. Seems to be an isolated issue, but hope we find a solution.

Edit: I converted that link for you: http://forum.wiziwig.eu/announcement.php?f=54 but seems like old info. It does no harm to have both the 75 NE & the 78 versions installed, but if one works, then so should the other one.

Could someone tell me what the invalid announcement link said? I'm having the same problem and can't fix it.

    This helped me: forum.wiziwig.eu/threads/83064-StreamTorrent-connection-issues-(solution-found)?p=1595964#post1595964
